    warm welcome very friendly felt at home and at ease right away given choice of rooms even the offer of two nights in each as i could not make my mind up very generous i thought

    "we went there to celebrate our 1year anniversary as a couple and The Claymore made it that bit more special. There is nothing that we would change, the service was wonderful from the start to the finish, extremely friendly atmosphere. i would highly recommend The Claymore. we will definately be returning."     everything about the Claymore was absolutely fabulous, we couldn't single out any one point because of this.

    My husband and I found this hotel to be a very pleasant experience the only problem was that our room was down two steps with the bottom of the door being at the same height as the bed, a draught could be felt at night but we put the spare pillows at the bottom of the door which stopped the draught.

    pleasant staff and good breakfast.hotel recently refurbished and presented well.

    we stayed in upstair's room and pressure of shower was not good even with additional electric pump.only 4 channel's availble on T.V.(maybe a good idea to have satellite).

    "We found this hotel very comfortable, and very good value for money. In fact it was our favourite hotel out of the five that we stayed in during our week's holiday. The staff were very pleasant and efficient, and the meals were good. We would certainly stay there again." (97989905)

    It was comfortable and clean

    The only comment, although only a slight complaint, is that the en-suite would benefit from another floor covering, rather than carpet.

    "The Claymore Hotel is outstanding. Not only was our room wonderful (see above) but the general ambiance was very friendly and warm (without being intrusive), and the food in the restaurant was outstanding. Whilst staying at the Claymore we didn't eat out anywhere else - it was that good. Good honest food well cooked. I think this is a part of the service they could market a lot more, as it was truly scrumptious! My husband and myself were so thrilled with our experience at the Claymore, and the delight that is Pitlochry and surrounding areas, that we have booked to stay at the Claymore again next year.     The Claymore Hotel was impressive on driving up - gardens beautifully maintained. Booking in was easy & the hoteliers were very warm and welcoming. Our room (we booked one of the four posters) was absolutely fabulous. So spacious, elegantly decorated and beautifully furnished. This was to be our base for 3 nights, and it was outstanding.

    "The staff were friendly, everything in town was a short walk away and we would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was OK, although no special provision was made even though we said during the online booking (and at check-in) that we were both vegetarian. We had to pick and choose from the 'Full Scottish Breakfast' to get enough to make a full breakfast plate. Other places in Pitlochry have made better provision for us as vegetarians in the past. We would stay here again, though as it was a nice hotel and people were friendly and helpful. It was nice coming back on the Saturday night and being able to have a drink in the bar before going to bed. Lots of nice places to eat in town, can't comment on the hotel dinner as the menu had little for the vegetarian so we went elsewhere instead. Although a friend who stays regularly at the Claymore said the meals were very nice! Plenty of parking available too." (99340152)

    The room was spacious, clean and had a very nice view to the front of the hotel.

    The room had two twin beds, not a double, but the website said it could be either. Would have preferred a double bed instead of pushing twins together. Also, no special provision made for us as vegetarians, even though this was highlighted during booking and at check-in.
