    "The only dissapointment was the bar and restaurant were shut for a private function and we didn't know about it so there was no lounge to sit in for a drink, so we took them back to our rooms. A make shift restaurant was made in one of the lecture rooms but it had no real atmosphere. The front desk were suprised that we had not been informed about the function. When we returned home there was a message on the answer phone telling us but this was left on the Friday lunchtime and we had already left for the weekend, so didnt get it until we came home. Even friday lunchtime was too late to do anything about it. We only booked that week so would have expected either the website to mention this kind of thing or that it came with the written confirmation which i received on the friday morning as the function must have been booked for ages. However minor issues as everything else was ok." (108740137)

    Staff were very courteous, pleasant and happy to help. Everyone one was the same so you must have good staff training. Good value for money and the breakfast was excellent. Best porridge I have had in a hotel.

    Within walking distance of shopping centre. Tried to find somewhere to eat but eventually found reasonable pub short distance away. Had games room with pool table.Good Breakfast.

    Swimming pool in basement room-had to get a access card from reception and take towels from room-didn't use as it seemed too much trouble. Room quite small but we had stayed at another hotel the night before in a huge room so made it seem smaller.

    The hotel was well located for access both in Telford and out of Telford

    Dissappointed in the location of room. Having indicated that I am disabled I was given a room on the same level as the entry - good. However, it could not have been further away from reception and the dining room. This did cause me some mobility problems. Most of the staff were polite and helpful. However, it highlighted the shortcomings of the one that was not. The waitress in the dining room at breakfast was not welcoming when she spoke she was very. This contrasted in the positive attitude and helpfulness of the waiters. One young waiter that was only on one day was very corteous and helpful and gave me the impression that he really did want to help me - a real credit to the hotel.

    "We needed a place to stopover and found Grays Hotel at a bargain £55. We had an extremely comfortable stay with every request met with a smile and all staff taking a friendly interest in our little 20 month old girl. We hadn't realised it was V weekend so were a little worried about late night noise but needed have. Pool was a lovely extra that our daughter made great use. We were impressed enough to book up for our return journey a week later." (107933612)

    The room and the service were excellent. The buffet-style breakfast, although not as good as a just-cooked plateful, was very good of its kind, with generous amounts of food and friendly staff.

    Telford centre is a ghost town in the evening, and the hotel is sited to suit business people and conference-goers, not tourists. But to its credit, there is good information at the hotel about local eating places (including a good Italian and a Wethersppons).

    breakfast served between 08:00 and 10:00, but as i had to be elsewere at 08:00 the staff were only to please to serve me a continental breakfast at 07:15.

    Clean modern hotel with attentive staff and although the evening meal was disappointing on our previous visit the breakfasts have been excellent on both occasions.

    On both visits to the hotel there have been functions which does mean disturbed sleep caused by late night revellers.We realise that these functions are vital to the hotel but a full night's sleep would be nice.

    Food,location,comfort.

    Sealant around bath looked as if it had been applied by a five year old. This did not spoil our visit but I would not have been happy if I were on business entertaining a customer.

    everyone in this hotel is very friendly,the room was very comfortable,

    maybe a child channel could be made available on the tv, as children do stay there, but this is not a complaint, just an observation

    The bar man was extremely pleasant and helpful, suggesting points of interest etc near the hotel. The room was spacious and well appointed The breakfast was superb and restaurant staff attentive and efficient

    Very friendly and pleasant staff - room well equipped and presented

    Hot Breakfast very bland - cold food well presented and overall good. Restaurant lacked the finer touches - staff seemed to be very rushed and a little indescreet when shouting orders through to the kitchen. Food was delivered rather than served - had to ask for everything eg. mustard, vinegar. A real pity as it could have been really good if better supervised. Staff coughing all over you as they served the food made for a hasty retreat back to the bar!If Telford had more choice I would not eat in the restaurant through choice

    Abrechnung zu hoch, Berechnung nicht genutzter Leistungen. Restaurantservice freundlich und bemüht, aber nicht gut organisiert. Zu viele Fehler.

    Easy excess to gym and swimming pool , very helpful reception staff , food service in both resturant and bar

    access thru barrier would benifit from light for night use , timing of breakfast on saturday would be better if the same as monday to friday.

    Excellent staff, friendly and courteous. Breakfast cooked to order - well prepared and presented. Quiet adn clean public areas and bedroom.

    First bedroom too small, moved to alternaive bedroom. No second bedside cabinet. Basin hot water almost at boiling point. Toilet too close to bath.
