    "Very enjoyable." (108674426)

    The staff were excellent - there were a gp of us staying for a reunion rugby match so we wanted to catch up and the bar stayed open long into the night to accomadate us. The lady serving our breakfast in the morning was extremely friendly and helpful.

    The shower only had cold water. I was in a hurry to check out so did not have a chance to feed this back.

    The food provided by the Hotel was truly excellent and worth the stay in itself. The staff were excellent and very willing with skills beyond their apparent youth in many cases. The Hotel was hosting a special fund raising event that weekend but did not inconvenience us nor detract from their care of us.

    The central heating was disturbingly noisy until we found a way (by turning the heat up and chucking off bedclothes) to silence it, which rather went against the whole carbon awareness thing. The hotel room was small and the public rooms were those of a pub rather than a hotel - but that was ok, and expected.

    "The place looked good but everything seemed a little old, the shower was pretty weak and the bar made me and my friends feel a little uncomfortable. We were 3 girls dressed to go to a wedding and received several unwanted comments when walking out the back to the car park. For the price paid for the room i was a little upset a basic breakfast wasn't included. " (108948525)

    location was really good and bed was comfortable.

    The place smelled funny in the corridors and the room. Not sure if the room had been empty for sometime but it needed a good airing once we arrived.

    Good central location

    I was in room 8 which has its window as a fire escape, and the window does not close properly (latches broken). Consequently I was a little worried someone could actually break in from the fire escape. Luckily I had no valuables with me, so wasn't too concerned, and didn't bother mentioning it, but still a bad point.

    Food excellant

    Very noisey at night due to the social life of the local young adults. The room we were in was also the fire escape which was disconcerning.

    Staff and locals were very friendly and helpful.

    No air-conditioning so a fan would have helped.

    very friendly staff a little disorganized when it comes to breakfast but it was full of welsh charm and the best poached eggs in south wales. Very convenient for some great local pubs.

    Just lack of clarity at breakfast.

    Very central - good location - near to High Street and tourist attractions. Quiet and comfortable enough

    Wouldn't recommend the restaurant food, pancake pillows and a very creaky floor...

    "Most certainly stay again - Excellent" (107366728)

    We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room for the cost. We could have slept 5 for 72 GBP!! We will be travelling again in July/August and we will most definately try and get a night or two at the Beaumont. Gareth was a real jurk, a really nice guy. His Dad owns the hotel. He was most helpful. Would be very pleased for the owners to know they have a great business running there. Well done.

    The stairs, there were heaps, if you had loads of bags would be a major nightmare, but then again Gareth helpt us to our room.

    Clean, comfortable and friendly.

    A very noisy birthday party went on until the early hours of the morning, it sounded as though it was above us, but I can't be sure. Did keep us awake for a long time.

    low standard room, small noisy bed with plastic undersheet, creaky floorboards, small room, reading light not working, poor tv reception, coincided with a noisy engagement party in function room that went on well past promised end time of midnight, needed a phone call to stop music at 12.30, singing and shouting went on til past 1 am outside room in courtyard

    Staff were flexible and offered us a nicer room ('nicer').

    The hotel was actually a pub- not explicit in the description. Also, the rooms were slightly rundown and the whole place just oozed with slightly out of date and crusty furnishings.

    Friendly, accomodating staff. Ideal situation. Parking. Excellent food.

    I am afraid the shower was a non event and I gave up with it and had a bath instead.

    "Our general stay was great, the staff were lovely and were very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the bar staying open for us was most appreciated!     We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel, the staff were fabulous and so was the location.

    The bed was most uncomfortable and the shower was poor. There was no water pressure which made it very hard to have a shower in the morning!
