    "It is a real shame these few things let this place down, my husband had tried to get two nights here a suprise for me but it was booked out, but im glad it was only one night in the end, its a beautiful setting but didnt live up to the five star rating because of these few points would stay again if this was rectified."     Beautiful area, lovely setting, very peaceful, the room had really nice decor furniture and ornaments, really comfortable bed, good shower powerful and hot. The lady who showed us to our lodge very friendly and welcoming.

    Hotel not signposted well had difficulty finding it had to ring for instrucs when got a bit lost. Heating was off after few hours of arrival didnt come on in morning, wooden bathroom floor needs renewing think damp from shower had got through when laid bath mat on floor stained brown from cracks of floor, towel robes off white looked grubby. Not up to my standard of cleaning in room, cobwebs in places dust in radiator in bathroom when i removed the towel, dust along back of bed, mirror on wardrobe cleaned at top not at bottom could see the mark where cleaning had stopped. In the morning restaurant no heating not warm atmosphere not relaxed, coffee lukewarm, breakfast too greasy especially fried bread, lady cooking breakfast seemed harrased guest wanted to check out she told him he would have to wait 10-15mins while she finished cooking breakfast, not sure if they were short staffed or not.We were offered sauce but by the time it came we had eaten half breakfast,

    Good english menu, using local produce, well cooked. Excellent full english breakfast. Quiet, peaceful location. Well furnished room with very comfortable bed. Proprietor very helpful. Reasonable wine list. Quiet, intimite dining room.

    Limited facility for pre-dinner drinks - ice-cold beer out of a can. Breakfast and dinner in separate restaurant building, no problem if weather is fine but slightly inconvenient in poor weather. No toilet facilities in restaurant building.

    excellent accommodation and great value.

    I thought credit card payment had been made online but my parents (who were the guests at the Lodge) had to pay with their card instead. Not sure why this happened.

    "Location difficult to find, Website makes reference to a right turning point 'Lions Mouth' off the Holt to Cromer Rd. No sign or reference is visable to a motorist. Needs to be reviewed in order that customers can find it's location." (107396926)

    Location.Food.Design and Layout of accomodation.

    Stagnant water in Toilet brush holder.Cobwebs in drapes and behind bed.4 x Inset Lightfittings broken and hanging from ceiling.Cracked floor tile in front of WC,water has got under it and is dangerous.Had to request the Central Heating was put on.

    Very comfortable room, quiet, relaxing.

    Shower didn't work properly but we were not informed of this beforehand. A couple of lightbulbs were out. The wardrobe couldn't have been inspected for a while as there was an old pair of socks in one side! Garden looked tired - hanging baskets from the previous summer were still in place and this was February! The B&B advertises Sky TV - it only offers the basic package so anyone looking for Sky Sports or Sky movies would be disappointed.

    The staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. The Tamarisk suite was clean and comfortable. All the food was excellent and the facilities inside the bedroom covered all tastes i.e. tea, coffee (latte and cappucino)hot chocolate, lemon tea, de-caff.

    The Lodge was advertised as a 5 star establishment but there were a couple of points which let this down for instance, the TV reception was very poor, perhaps satellite might be considered. A box of tissues or extra toilet rolls for the ladies might also help.

    We stayed in Oak - the most expensive accommodation and described as a honeymoon suite. Very large bungalow, well furnished, in peaceful woodland setting. Massive king sized bed, huge sunken bath with gold taps. Kettle and ample supply of tea bags, etc. Small hotel so few other guests (restaurant would perhaps hold 16. Friendly welcoming staff. Excellent full English breakfast.

    A bit dusty. Odd things not working like a table lamp and Sky remote control, though the box worked OK. TV old and small like something from a car boot sale. I expect a larger, modern flat screen these days, especially at the price.

    "I do not understand how anyone can say a bad word against this accomadation. Everything about the stay was exceptional from the greeting on arrival to the fantastic breakfast on Sunday morning. The meal on Saturday evening was delicious and very reasonablly priced. The surroundings were peaceful and nothing was ever too much trouble. I totally recommend staying at Felbrigg Lodge!     "The whole stay was idyllic from the gorgeous room to the first rate food, we loved every minute, it was so quiet and had such a fantastic atmosphere. We would have loved to have stayed longer.     Everything about Felbrigg Lodge was fantastic from the second we arrived til we left the following day, Great room (Oak)First rate food and lovely host, Total feeling of calm and relaxation about the whole place

    "I asked for a special desert to be made and it was done. It was our anniversary and they upgraded us and served dinner in our room!! How accommodating can you get....I am not saying everyone would get that but the best room was available and so they put us in it! Food was excellent and would go back again." (97753476)

    The rooms are absolutely fantastic, woodburning stove, sunken large bath was absolute perfection!

    Very large and clean room. Excellent refreshment provisions. Gorgeous, quiet and peaceful setting. High quality breakfast in an attractive dining room. Staff were generally pleasant and had excellent knowledge of locale. They were very helpful with suggestions for days out etc. Superb indoor pool area though slightly chaotic booking system somewhat marrs the enjoyment of this.

    Slightly twee, old fashioned decor. The radiator thermostat was broken, however staff did mend this after asking twice. Poor signage for reception. It's unclear who and where you should ask for help and there is no info. in the rooms. We didn't know where to pay, check -in or out etc. Also some local info. in the rooms would have been nice. In-room magazines were from 1990's!!!!

    Some of the light bulbs were out in lamps, and also couldnt have shower because there was no cold water only boiling hot...!!!

    "although the accomodation was remote we had contact by phone with owners who gave us good directions and waited up for us till 11.30pm and saw us to our accom.accom site was quiet and secluded. the restaurant was very nice and breakfasts excellent although we didnt eat there in the evening, the menu looked excellent.as far as what i would have liked to know before booking......i found out all i needed on site before booking, it was all made so easy.i also use many other sites to book hotels on line, in fact i only book in this way."     helpful staff waited until 11.30pm for me to arrive and assisted with directions by phone.

    "We didn't notice that the dinner in the evening had to start at 7pm. but the food was very good and the service extremely friendly. The staff were very obliging and helpful. The room was lovely and we were pleased to find the hotel after driving around the country for an extra 1/2 hour as there were no signs apart from at the top of the drive." (99256369)
