    Very comfortable groundfloor room nicely equipped. Prompt, friendly service at all times. Well presented,tasty,set 3 course dinner; interesting and enjoyable.

    No bad points. Car parking a bit restricted but no real inconvenience.

    Warm,friendly,spotlessly clean guest house that catered for all our needs. The menu was adjusted to cater for my husbands dietary needs.

    we stayed in the coach house and found it to be very roomy and wanted for nothing. Food Excellent. breakfast had a very good choice and the evening meal was to die for. All round, the stay was brilliant and the hosts could not do enough for you. Highly Recommended.

    Warm welcome with a pot of tea and shortbread. Lovely,homely lounge with a log fire and plenty of interesting books to read. Filling, beautifully cooked breakfasts, pity I didn't sample the evening meal.

    Beautifully furbished rooms. Hot power shower. Ample storage space. Excellent customer service, nothing too much trouble.

    Room was unexpectedly upgraded because we were there for my friend's birthday. Good breakfast and excellent cooked meal on Saturday night. Bottled water provided in the room. Friendly service.

    Would have prefered a flat screen TV (a small point),no food on Sunday evening understandable but not advised on confirmation which we received in France,car required to enjoy a meal 3 miles distant.

    "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guidfa House. Having originally booked the suite, we ended up in the smallest room due to a leek. We were contacted by the owner beforehand who was very apologetic that the suite was not available. The room we has was still very pleasant and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the location is ideal for touring the surrounding area." (107289479)

    The house is beautifully maintained and easy to find. We didn't have dinner at Guidfa House due to other plans, but the breakfast was good and plentiful.

    I can't really find any bad points to comment on.

    The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the whole experience wonderful. If I go back to the same area, I would head back to this hotel.

    The room was a good size with plenty of space and a nice big comfortable bed. There were many nice touches such as the tea on arrival and the fact that the bed was turned down each evening with a chocholate left on the pillows. This is a mark of class which is a fair comment on the hotel. The food was also very good with a well priced wine list from house, bin ends and other options

    It's very much nit picking but I would have like some quiet background music in the dining room

    "Overall, the accommodation and how we were looked after and treated was excellent. We received a very warm welcome, were shown to our very comfortable (and also warm!) room, and were then left alone - though there was always somebody around if needed. Breakfast was excellent too.     Nothing. Would have been nice to know about the evening meal menu, but then we could have asked!

    "Guidfa House is a must if you are visiting this area - it is an absolute treasure. I do an lot of travelling and it is a very long time since I have stayed in a property of this quality at these prices. Comfortable furniture, excellent decoration, TVs, DVD and stereo - it has everything. The owners are ready with a very warm welcome and will provide you all the information that you might need for this area. Not a complaint, but if you want an evening meal you will need to book it by breakfast on the day as everything is prepared fresh. Unfortunately we did not and, judging by the breakfast, we missed out on a gastronomic treat!" (99900229)
