  "Whilst there could have been minor improvements with the accomodation we were very impressed with the friendly staff, excellent service and superb food. We would not hesitate to use this hotel again." (97318471)

  "We enjoyed our stay in The Lovat Arms. We had two evening meals in the hotel which were cooked to perfection, and it is not often that I can say. The room was cosy and comfortable, with a tartan canopy over the bed, and a tartan bedcover." (97494787)

  "Hotel was friendly, clean and had character." (97776462)

  The room had a very distinct decor - fabulous draped tartan!

  A greater variety of choice on the menu would have been good - quite a few options weren't available on the Saturday night so we ate elsewhere the following night.

  "see above my appreciation to all the great staff." (97661800)

  I travel a great deal both for pleasure and business. This was a last minute trip. it has been a long time since I stayed anywhere I was more impressed with. The hotel itself the unique room the location and the service were all outstanding. i plan to go back as soon as possible and would highly reccommend this hotel, first class.

  I found staying here very relaxing-a nice change from the usual hotel box!!The surrounding are very pleasant and the staff happy, pleasant and very professional.

  "We got what we expected or rather had hoped for the room with Bay window [ will ask the next time] " (107977778)

  Having stayed here before and used the facilities in the past when living in the area we like the decor and quite enjoyed our stay.

  Room too small for any more than one night stay .

  "We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and service minded. It was nice to enjoy a drink in the evening at the hotel pub/bar. However, the booking site should definitely mention that ensuite bathroom does not necessary mean that there will be showers in the bathroom." (97740480)

  The room was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean.

  There was no proper shower in the bathroom, only a bath.

  "Overall engjoyed our stay and would consider this hotel again if staying in this area. Breakfast was good but wouldn't say it was particularly good value for money." (97525070)

  The public areas of the hotel were well presented/in good decorative order.

  The bathroom was basic and a bit dated (also unable to open window in this room). The room was cold on our arrival (1st Dec/2deg outside) as the window had been left open to air the room and the heater was switched off.
