  Excellent location. Room large enough for family of four.

  When booking room on-line, I inadvertantly booked a double (rather than family) room although there was no indication to say that this was not what I had been given. However, when phoning the hotel to double check, the very helpful receptionist was able to point out my mistake and she quickly offered me an alternative room, albeit on different dates. Next time I would probably ring the hotel direct.

  "We were only able to book the stay for one night due to a major motorcycle race in the area . The hotel , staff , and location were perfect for us , but we feel that the hotel was not geared up for such a large influx of customers" (97961914)

  "Just what we needed a peaceful hotel with good views, tasty food, spacious rooms with balcony and pleasant staff." (97166402)

  We had a sea view room and the views were great. Portballintrae has only the hotel and Sweeneys Bar and Restaurant. Not even a shop! It was lovely and peaceful. There was a lovely peat fire in the bar area and the restaurant had great food and lovely sea views. A very relaxing place, I would like to return.

  Our teenage children had trouble with their television ariel and couldnt get the channels. Saying that staff came immediatly on both occasions to sort the problem out.

  "Nice location for a break, convenient to numerous attractions. The general atmosphere, excellent staff and high quality accommodation of the hotel, correctly described elsewhere as a small luxury hotel, all combine to make it worth visiting. The high standards of decor, cleanliness and service are commendable." (97254847)

  Clean spacious comfortable room. Excellent service in all respects.

  "I wanted a clean and comfortable room, good food in the hotel and somewhere to walk off the Ulster breakfast, this hotel had it all. There were only about 25 rooms, it seems to be a sister hotel of the Ramada in Portrush." (97513451)

  We stayed in three different hotels travelling arround the north, the Bayview was by far the best, it was clean comfortable, in a great setting & close to the giants causway. Sweeneys reasturant just down the road was also excellent.

  "We stay in the hotel because of it's location not because of the hotel. It is very nice and functional but no personal touches. We will stay again, but through necessity not through desire. That said it is very clean, and pleasant throughout." (97171096)

  The location.

  It was built on the site of a hotel of the same name, and unfortunately lacks the character/quirkiness of the previous hotel albeit that it is very nice.

  Spacious, good view, wel appointed, quiet.

  Like so many hotels meanness with teabags will ultimately cost them a great deal more than the loss of providing an larger supply. Being offered a remote control for the television at reception that was bound together with sticky tape does not really meet expectations.

  "Will definately be back." (99957249)

  The setting was just perfect, with a wonderful view from our room. Meals good and staff very attentive. I thought it was just magic!
