  Convenient, peaceful and relaxing location - good centre for visiting the many delights of South West Pembrokeshire. Excellent and tasty evening meal! Food was prepared to high standard.

  Not really a negative as such but given the rural location of the hotel as well as proximity to the coast - e.g. do we really need to have yogurts brought from the West Country and mussels from Ireland (Connemara) - there is wonderful produce readily availble locally - so please take advantage of it. At busy times the restaurant felt rather crowded with some tables rather close together.

  "Although we had a reasonably good stay, we were disappointed that the quality was not better for the price that we paid. " (107794872)

  The staff were friendly, helpful & polite. Quality of the evening meal was excellent.

  Room was fairly small, access to wardrobe cramped. Lock on the room door had been broken at some time, and we had to keep pushing the mechanism back into the frame in order for the door to close. We also had to lock the door with the key when inside, as the latch did not push back fully. We discovered after we had left that a bottle of water had already been opened in the room and consumed before we had arrived. Up until then we had each assumed that the other one must have been really thirsty when we arrived!

  Quiet setting, relaxing/nice grounds.

  despite what is advertized, the hotel is really quiet expensive. I was a bit aghast by the dirt on the walls in the bath, the worn character of carpets and linens, etc. And the fact that despite the price, one has to pay for everything, seems poor management. I would encourage the Lamphey to take stock and recognize there are nicer country homes within a few miles, with lower prices; ones I would certainly stay at in preference to their hotel. They should try and clean up the place or decrease their prices substantially.

  "not worth the money you charge. overpriced and definately not the standard i expected for " (107274973)

  1. Some surley staff, especially the young woman who took my money on sunday checkout, couldn't manage a smile or say please or thank you. 2. poor quality breafast. were they really deep fried sausages and tinned mushrooms? 3. given the room above the kitchen extractor fan with no prior warning of it going off, especially at 0715 on sunday morning.
