    The view was incredible, although chairs for the balcony would be nice. The first night of our stay the bar staff was very friendly and helpful.

    Donata could not find reservation at check in. Bar and restaurant staff on Wednesday the 2nd, in the evening, was inattentive and ill tempered, so much so we never had a meal that evening. Transportation from the airport was not available although your website indicated it would be if requested.

    Well located, nice design. Great breakfast.

    Inadequate car parking - I was directed to a public car park elsewhere and expected to find my way back with my bags!We had to queue for over 20mins to be checked in.The room had not been cleaned properly -there were cup rings on all the furniture(desk and bedside tables) and the bathroom vanity unit had hairs on it.

    Brilliant upgrade with great views across Bay. Food good

    As before the staff training lets the hotel down. Slow and confused check in. Major tiff between restaurant and bar led to some people waiting 45 minutes for a drink. Good restaurant team but poorly led by maitre d

    "We came on a 3 night short break wothout the kids it was lovely and relaxing. With a lovely room." (108813564)

    The hotel was situated in a brilliant area and the view from the room was amazing. Staff really friendly and helpful, meal in restaurant really nice and good choice at breakfast time.

    Car park too small for size of hotel.

    View from room balcony, cleanliness and comfort of room, service of staff, complimentary Champagne! Personal robes in room to use in Spa, with separate guest lift from room to Spa.

    Breakfast could have been better - mushrooms not available 2 days out of 3. Orange juice was not best quality. Bar staff did not seem very interested, bar prices very high.

    Breakfast was good.

    For a 5 star hotel we expected a wow factor and personally there wasn`t one. In our room there was only one chair which if there is more than one of you seems a little strange.

    Location. Bedrooms spacious and comfortable.

    No air-conditioning in lifts. Very heavy bedroom doors. Noisy corridors. No firedoors between corridors and atrium/lift area. Bathrobes not provided. On-site car park charge. Small, dark bar - very uninviting. Staff quality variable. Not up to standard expected of a 5 star hotel. Buffet breakfast, no a la carte offered. Very expensive.

    Architecturally interesting building in fantastic location. Rooms comfortable and spa (recently refurbiched) excellent.

    Breakfast staff slow and inattentive; food of mediocre quality. Outside, the sea air is taking it's toll on the paintwork.

    Check in was speedy without being hasty with excellent staff making me aware of the hotels facilities. The room was clean and fresh along with all the surrounding area's ....great work is all I can say

    Excellent well designed room with good equipment. Spa facilities good Breakfast good and ours was included in rate. Nice city view from the room.

    Hard to find. Could do with a brown sign on main road (Harry Ramsden chip shop manages that!) Avoided evening meal as it seemed very expensive.

    Well appointed hotel. Dedicated lift to spa available only to guests meant you could get to the pool in your dressing gown. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff.

    Balcony looking a bit tired and grubby. Not such an interesting view from our side of the hotel.

    Location good, spa v.good, hotel nice and clean.

    We got given an upgrade which was v.nice, however we had to wait over an hour and a half for the room to be ready and this was after the 2pm check-in time, we therefore had to sit and wait, which was a bit annoying. When we got to the room there was only 1 set of towels, no gowns and the tv remote was missing.

    "Generally good, room was smaller than anticipated for the £205 a night price tag. The self-service breakfast was appalling for the £18.50 cost, the tea was luke warm and the pot was filthy." (107290094)

    Staff were excellent, most helpful and polite.

    Breakfast was very poor for the money. Having had the room booked online for me I didn't expect to have to pay on arrival. Better communication between the booking site and those making business reservations needed.

    "Overall very good. Our room was generous in size with great views of Penarth and Cardiff Bay. Our bathroom was luxurious and well decorated with stone and tiles. All of the staff were professional and courteous. The small television should be replaced with a normal size or big screen television. " (99056630)

    Fantastic views. Professional courteous staff. Generous room size. Luxurious bathroom with bidet. High speed internet connection.

    TV was too small (14 inch?) -- my laptop has a larger screen. Housekeeping did not vacuum clean the carpet in my room.

    Lovely views and position for our needs.

    Spa facilities were poor the pool and sauna were closed. Breakfast could have been hotter and the waiting less manic.
