    "It could have been so much better. Staff attitudes variable from good to not interested. Too many mistakes to make the overall stay a pleasure. Just unlucky this weekend I guess!" (107317311)

    Once in a room clean and quiet. Breakfast adequate.Good location for station ++ and city.

    Booked non smoking - given smoking had to change to twin. Alarm call not received on either day inspite of reminder and no apology

    "Excellent, clean hotel with great facilities. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Woken up throughout the night because of Police sirens. Have already booked to stay again in December for the Everton game." (108922409)

    Clean well presented hotel with plenty of facilities. Good location in the centre of Liverpool. Friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast included in the price. Secure parking included. Reasonable bar prices.

    Emergency service sirens throughout the night. Full of Liverpool fans. (Which is not good if you have just lost 4-0 against them).

    Good facilities and pleasant environment.Decor good staff are courteous. Room nicely laid out. Room service was swift and meal well presented. Hotel centrally located which is ideal and good hotel parking facilities(which is free).

    Pillows were past their best and the bed would benefit from a mattress topper. Under the bed was not as clean as the rest of the room.

    From arrival to departure we were treated well by all the staff particularly the dining room staff and the breakfast room staff. Their humour added to our stay. It was Liverpool at its best.

    OK hotel. Good service. Great breakfast. Receptionist had the most fascinating, heavily glued on eyelashes.

    The active hotel booking did not work. When we arrived at the hotel, they had not received a booking confirmation. Luckily, they had rooms available, but at a slightly higher rate than booked through Active hotels. Rate difference = £46.

    Got a bit hot in room could have done with air con unit.

    A non smoking room was requested but not granted and the room smelt very stale. The mattress was old and extremely uncomfortable, the springs were poking through and led to a very uncomfortable sleepless night.

    'tired' room, no cold running water until departure, no adjustment to room heating, stuffy, overlooking Lime Street station and train announcements from early morning. Greeted on arrival with no proper welcome or smile by receptionist. Set the tone for the stay unfortunately.

    Standard of room was good. Staff very efficient and helpful. Standard of food in the restaurant was very good.

    None really. The restaurant menu was a little limited, but the hotel is in the middle of town and there are plenty of eating places around.

    Good clean hotel with free secure parking. Good location for City Centre.

    No cold water. Only very hot water from all taps. Changed rooms, only to find that all taps gave scalding hot water in this room also, which meant that a shower was impossible. Discovered that another guest had the same problem. Was given a complimentary bottle of water. You need to go outside the Hotel to get to the bar, as the internal door to the bar, is via the restaurant, and for staff only. On return to the Hotel, just after 11pm, the bar was closed. Free WiFi, but you need to apply for a Username and password from reception. Would be useful if reception staff asked if you required WiFi access during check-in.

    Lovely reception with incredible seawater fish tank. Clean well appointed room and bathroom. Excellent meal and service in the restaurant and good service at breakfast.

    "The hotel was modern, clean and very comfortable. I didnt have the time to check out the restaurant, but it looked very nice. However, I feel the breakfast facilities were not quite what I would have expected of your hotel. The tea and coffee came from "machines". I feel it is always preferable to have tea and coffee served at the table if possible. I believe too much self service at breakfast can be annoying. Also, no fried eggs that I could see.     Bedside lamp did'nt appear to work.

    En registro de entrada, es obligatorio abonar mediante tarjeta de crédito (no admiten dinero en efectivo) una pequeña cantidad por adelantado. Este requisito no se menciona en la web de activehotels ni en la web del hotel. Es imprescindible, pues ni siquiera admiten en su lugar el pago en efectivo de toda la estancia por adelantado.
