  "small touches made this hotel so appealing. Fresh milk in room to go with fresh coffee and kit kats were a nice touch. food was superb, and rates very good.A fantastic hotel, highly recommend it.wonderful stay!" (107996564)

  hotel was just fantastic. rooms were very well decorated and food amazing. service was very good and staff very helpful. could not fault this hotel at all. very impressed. excellant attention to detail.

  none at all. only wished we could have stayed longer.Booking on line we were told to book dinner at hotel on arrival, and could not do with operater. luckily we got a table! as they were very busy.

  Excellent room very clean, food very tasty. Staff pleasant and helpfull. Thoughttful little extras fresh coffee in the rooms being one of them.

  "I thought I had paid for the room when I booked it so was quite surprised to be charged 'again' though it didn't matter when I got the bill. I'm sure that was me not reading the booking instructions properly. Breakfasts don't start until 9 at weekends which was a bit late for us, but it's no problem. The bath and fittings were antique and a little bit slow etc but again not an issue, just more character than performance that might not suit everybody. The food was excellent and the overall standard of the room very clean and comfortable." (97413526)

  The food was excellent, nice atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The room was great, lovely 4-poster bed. Generally the place was great.

  You do get a fair bit of noise from the main A12 (especially if you have a room at the front like we did) It was also very stormy the night we stayed which probably made things worse. I'd probably ask for a room at the back if I was to stay there again.
