    Large rooms, comfortable bed. Very clean bathrooms etc

    When I got into bed I discovered very quickly that I was lying in a wet patch of urine! The room maid must have seen this when she made the bed up. I asked to change rooms, but no apology was given. I spoke to the Manager who was going to investigate, but 3 days later I have heard nothing. I stay in hotels over 100 nights a year and have never ever had such an experience or such poor customer service!

    friendly staff. quiet room, and even though we didn't have a city view the view was great from 7th floor. huge shower. and bathroom. big room with a good bed. overall very good experience - would come back.

    thought it strange that a suggested donation for the charity was added to the bill on check in. Only when I had asked why the bill was for 96 rather than 95 did I get offered the explanation

    "Good, but would have excellent had the resturant not let you down, as we felt a bit cheated after that." (107875515)

    Hotel room, bed, bathroom, cleanliness, facilities were all excellent. Hotel reception staff very good.

    Evening meal at the resturant was disappionting as we were served the wrong fish on a particular dish, but not informed. Salmon instead of Seabass, which we did not feel was a suitable alternative.

    Lovely hotel, very clean, facilities good.

    Bar service dire, went for a nightcap after our concert, barman said take a seat, waiter service only. 10 minutes later still waiting, 2 other guests came in and were served at the bar, we left without having a drink.

    Excellent room + bathroom. Gym and leisure Spa good. Staff very good.

    Only 2 small lifts for the whole hotel. This stems from the hotel previously being BT offices and the lifts were not built to deal with so many people. Hotel not able to provide us with breakfast. They were full !

    Helpfull staff, friendly and couldnt do enough to cater my needs. Including giving directions and helping me find a car park space when the carpark was full.

    The shower in the room was leaking Car park wasnt big enough so had to park on street

    nice friendly staff and the rooms are a good standard.

    i felt a bit misled that the hotel claimed it was a short walk to the m.e.n arena when in fact it was over a mile away.plus the beer served at the bar wasnt the best quality.

    Very clean and tidy, excellent room.

    Not really a bad point, but would have liked to have had a connecting cable for the media interface (don't have an Ipod to connect to the supplied dock)

    Room was beautiful

    Bar supervisor instructed me to take a seat and then forgot about taking an order upon her retun some 10 mins later. Tray service charge was also uneccesary.

    i enjoyed the comfortability and style of the hotel, the breakfast was superb. the hotel location was very good, even though a member os staff gave me disastrous directions to the parking, just to find it behind the hotel after almost 1 hour of going around the hotel and through tghe city centre. but overal good points in accomodation staff friendliness and breakfast. i would and intend to stay again oin july this year.

    24 hour food service, poor quality food really. bar staff direct you to a table and prompltly forget about you.

    Excellent location to the train station, and city centre. Very decent size bedroom and bathroom. Extra large shower suite, and full size bath. Check in was speedy, but check out was slow. Room itself is decorated to a high finish. Excellent view from the room, and ipod speaker facilities.

    Drainage smell in the bathroom which came and gone every now and then. TV was small for the room, as it was so far away from the bed. No movie options - or access to the fridge without a deposit or credit card.

    My credit was blocked due to a technical problem wth my bank. Your team phoned me up and I used a debit card instead. This was very proactive and solved a potential problem for me if you had not resolved it. Hotel was clean and staff were very pleasant and took the time to speak to me.

    Embarassed in the bar at night by having to get my paper room key holder to pay to my room. The plastic key was refused at the bar and I had to go to the reception to get another key. This should be made clear at check in.. 17.50 for breafaast would have been steep. the £10 deal on the night was good.

    Hotel appearance, service and support very good.

    Check in was terrible. Delay to such a level we had to wait for 10 minutes in the lobby. The (male) concierge gave us details for a restaurant that no longer existed resulting in a £18 cab fare for what should have been £3 !!! The femaile concierge was very good by the way.

    lovely big bed, warm power shower, good view!, quick check in and out, docking station for ipod (don't have one but cool anyway) - like room on top floor a lot

    car park was full but seemed like this would have cost £12 anyway so didn't complain! very few staff servng bar @ midnight on saturday and breakfast would have been £10 - a reduction from £17.50 - normal for hotels maybe but extortionate

    Very clean room, Extremely comfortable bed,Nice bathroom with full size bath and large separate shower cubicle.

    Extremely expensive @£17.00 for buffet breakfast. There was no hand soap in the bathroom although shower gel was provided, even Premier Travel and Holiday Inn Express provide hand soap dispensers at the side of the basin.How are you supposed to wash your hands after using the toilet when no soap is provided?There is a distinct lack of fresh air in the rooms as none of the windows open the room was slightly stuffy because of this.

    Hotel decor is excellent. Pleasant and welcoming check-in staff.Central location.

    Room had not been dusted, mini bar had not been stocked and was filthy inside. Bathroom had not been cleaned properly.Air conditioning does not work in winter so our room was like a sauna. The hotel directory claims that the bar lounge offers light snacks until 11pm but when we went to get something to eat we were told they stopped serving at 4pm. When we did go to the restaurant we waited over 30 mins for our desserts. Service was disgraceful. Breakfast was no better and at 17.50 per person, it was not worth the money. We were given a chipped glass in our room for our complimentary water which one of us cut our lip on. So we were quite horrified to find that the same glass was later cleaned and put back in our room again.

    I thought the bar was a little downmarket , there was bingo on the tv and there was a guest with her shoes off and her feet on the furniture . I thought that these 2 things spoiled the ambience of the bar. Also we went out for breakfast as £17.50 is incredibly expensive.

    Excellent, had a throughly enjoyable stay.

    The only bad points are with the car parking facilities. The directions to the car park are very confusing and it actually took us 20 mins to find. I do not feel we should have had to pay an additional charge for the car park. Finally the the car park is too small and we actually had to wait half an hour on arrival for a space, which actually caused us to be late for our lunch booking.
