    "Wonderful" (107502282)

    A delightful, friendly, well run small hotel in a very remote location.The owners are friendly and efficient, the food and service excellent and our stay was a delightful break in a beautiful part of the world.

    None - but guests need to realise there's no mobile phone service and no TV.

    Rooms were large with nice bath facilities. Food was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Hotel does not allow pets.

    "I would highly recommend this hotel, it is off the beaten track and very secluded, so no mobiles, no TV and no internet (not yet anyway), just good food and drink in friendly, warm surroundings.Will definitely stay at this hotel again. " (107479773)

    Very quiet, friendly hotel with lovely surroundings and decor. Food was to a very high quality and the beer and wine was excellent.

    Menu was limited and if staying more than a few nights you would run out of choices.

    Excellent welcome and facilities.

    Food was good but not a 'gourmet standard' If we had stayed longer the dishes offered were limited .This is mainly due to the small size of the hotel and dining room and isolated location.

    "The whole experience of the break was quite perfect, the chief was great, all the staff made our stay very enjoyable, very restfull atmosphere in the middle of a valley, perfect for that break from the pressures of running buisness and the local walks through the hills and vallys were magical. highly recommended."     "It is something of a drive to arrive at the Inn - the location is about 20 minutes away from Betwys-Y-Coed. But that is all to the good, as the village is not your typical tourist destination. The rooms have been renovated beautifully, with every accomodation. The Inn also serves dinner in the evening. The menu selection was good, the food reasonably priced, and the chef's skill excellent." (97951469)

    The Lion Inn was one of the highest quality places we stayed in the UK. Excellent attention to detail to make sure guests are comfortable and provided for. Suggestions on hikes, dining, and the Inn's restaurant - all made for a wonderful stay. And the location is delightful.

    "A country inn which provides a level of service above most. Visitors should be aware that the restaurant and bar are not open on a Monday, there is no mobile reception and no T.V., in fact the ideal location for a quiet country break!" (97763244)

    The loction of the Hotel away from everywhere just suited, e.g. no mobile phone signal, but flowers in BT phone box 20 yds away more than compensation. Room's modern facilities and very clean together with traditional friendly pub bar downstairs.
