    Everyone was really friendly and helpful.

    there weren't really any, just the road noise outside and because we were on the ground floor , and the road noise, didn't feel ok about opening the window when the room was very warm overnight.

    The hotel was very clean and comfortable for our 1 night stay. Excellent value for money. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

    friendly staff, decent breakfast,not to far from city centre,safe parking

    noisey if staying in front rooms as on main road .had to change rooms due to noisey guests in opposite room.had good cooperation from Mike the night porter in changing.

    "Absolutely fine for one night only - hotel was warm, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The carpet could do with attention and some pictures on the walls might be nice as there were none. The staff said the management had not decided what kind to put up yet." (107809986)

    A family room was available so children (oldest 14) did not have to be in a room alone. There were 2 en-suite bathrooms which cut queues. Everything was spotlessly clean and all staff pleasant and friendly. Price was very reasonable. Breakfast was good.

    Carpet in room had seen better days. Hotel was in a run-down area and we found it scary to be asked to move the car in case anyone threw stones at it, though we appreciated the receptionist's concern. In the event the car was fine.

    staff helpful and friendly when i was not able to get a shower, this was solved by using another room.

    very basic interior could do with (pictures e.c.t) was not able to get a shower as water was cold.mattress was bumpy

    Room was big and very clean as well as the ensuite. The man working on the nghtshift and doing the breakfasts was lovely and very talkative and friendly.

    We had booked a double room but were given a family room containing 4 single beds. The cooked Breakfast was not the best either.

    "Shockingly this hotel qualifies as an overpriced youth hostel. Furniture was as cheap as chips, the cheapest Argos variety, Rooms were shockingly bare not a picture in sight, the TV had no remote for standard channels of course, the beds were soft, the wardrobe was a metal rail in the corner, I had to pull the second bed to a side to get into the bathroom, and the sink in the bathroom was so big for such a tiny space that I literally could brush my teeth and sit on the loo at the same time.     "overall, dispite the confusion with our booking, i found the sandown to be a good place to stay over if you were going out for the night or something. its not a luxury hotel and theres not much surrounding it but it was comfortable and suited our needs for the night." (97220573)

    the sandown was a short taxi ride from the city of manchester stadium where we were going to see the foo fighters. it only cost about £5. the staff were friendly and helpful and the room we had, although small and basic,was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for an overnight stay.

    i booked our room on the internet back in february, but by may i hadn't heard anything back from the hotel in the way of confirmation. i called to double check our booking,and it turned out that we were on the system but we wernt actually booked in! however the manager was very helpful in making sure that we did get a room on the night we needed. it turned out that we had a twin room instead of a double like i had booked, but this wasnt a problem for us.

    The hotel had basic facilities but was very clean and met our needs. The staff, particularlt the night porter, were more the most helpful I and the others in my party have ever experienced!!

    Access to a hairdryer would have been helpful.

    Room was newly decorated and very functional.

    Shower in room did not function correctly, hot & cold water would not mix. Lack of television. Due to refurbishment common areas were bare floorboards.

    It was cosy,clean,within a short taxi ride to city of manchester stadium,reasonably priced,it was ideal for our requirements.Staff were friendly too.

    Nothing to dislike really.The hotel was being refurbished during our short stay but it didnt bother us at all ( we knew this before we booked )
