    "Its location, a five minute walk from the airport, makes it ideal for a stranger on their first visit to the island. The airport is well served by buses, which provides easy travel around the island especially if you buy an explorer ticket. There is a lack of eating establishments in the immediate area, so be prepared to travel in the evening. Although I would personally prefer a cooked breakfast, I had no complaints about the continental on offer. " (108794473)

    "I felt that the member of staff lied to me with regard to the heating in order to get rid of me when I asked the questions. Having used the Sefton, Douglas many times in the past I was very dissapointed in the hotel and the staff attitude." (107216324)

    There are none

    After check-in at around 19:30pm, we went to our room (my wife was travelling with me) and found it to be very small with only approx. 18 from end of bed to wall to move past bed. It was also very cold in the room and we found that there was no heating on. I then went to the front desk to enquire why there was no heating on in the room only to be informed that "the heating comes on between 10:pm & 6:00am in the morning" When I pointed out that most people would actually be sleeping during that time I was informed that the staff had no control! During the night there definately was NO Heating. In fact the heating only came on after 8:00am in the morning. During the morning there was a fire alarm which meant that we had to evacuate our room. The staff only made a poor attempt to confirm that everyone had evacuated their rooms after some 20 minutes of waiting for the arrival of the emergency services, very reassuring.

    Clean, comfortable, very pleasant staff, acceptable price, free parking, bedroom was almost sound proof and had clean facilities that all worked (shower, coffee maker, TV) Impression of care and desire to support guest.

    Shower - first morning barely lukewarm, second morning NO hot watewr at all. Declined to have a freezing cold shower. Hot water in sink was fine.

    "Relaxed atmosphere and good facilities our stay was short but very relaxing we travelled on a motorbike, which the security of parking is always, a main factor to us. Looking at the whole Isle of Man we see that the beauty of the place is that it seems a very safe place to be. The Hotel was as good as we expected - Given our circumstances I would have looked up the local taxi's to pre arrange trips to the local town at night. Although on such a short stay this did not matter. The Isle of Man is beautiful and full of interesting places for all ages. Very Friendly!The staff are very helpful." (97958844)

    The hotel was clean, the staff very helpful and NOT noisy as we had half expected with the location next to the airport.The parking is good and a very relaxed atmosphere.

    I would not use the word dislike - It would have been nice to have better bar facilities although cans of beer and wine are available.

    "The convenience of this hotel to the airport is a big advantage. The staff were very welcoming and helpful - even checking a weather forecast on the computer for us. The only small improvement that we think could make it better would be a separate dining room for breakfast - but this is a minor matter." (97292948)

    Price, cleanliness

    Would have preferred somewhere more scenic, but this is all that was available & it served us very well. Plumbing was modern, with automatic temperature control on both hot water & shower. I understand why this is done, but don't like it. Showers are barely hot enough & the hot water isn't really hot enough for shaving.

    "Could've been made clearer that there was no restaurant service in the evening, as a solo woman traveller I'm not thrilled at the prospect of venturing into the night to find food, nor ordering in takeaway. Could there be some basic room service? By the time I'd arrived the last thing I wanted was to start ringing around and waiting for food to be delivered.(I arrived at approx 8.30pm) However the information about where to get food and what was on offer was very good" (97613788)
