  Really good atmosphere throughout, would like to have been able to sample the bar environment properly! Really like what you're doing with the hotel, and in a sensible programme.

  The weather, but I guess there's not alot most of us can do about that!

  "I was impressed with the the way the rooms were modernised,but still trying to keep the old character of the hotel and associated public rooms.the owners were keen to discuss any opinions and suggestions thatcame up in the course of any conversation that i had with them.The food was of good quality and the portions were good value for money."   The staff and local provided a nice frendly and relaxing atmosphere in the hotel bar and restuarant

  The hotel advertised free wireless access in public areas.This proved limited in the hotel bar area when the bar was busy

  A welcoming environment, a great hotel with period features and friendly staff. Good choice on the menu and tasted great.

  The hotel is going through a process of being upgraded, but the areas that have been renovated, are to a high standard.

  "Whilst the hotal has an Olde Worlde feel in the public areas the accessways have a run down feel to them. However i understand there is some renovation going on." (97677174)

  Fantastic evening meal and very good pleasant service and excellent breakfast.

  The room badly needed decorating. The building was a quaint old building but badly needs refurbishing in some areas

  "Would not at this hotel again very poor, They would not let me choose from the resturant menu because it was mothers day and was only handed a bar menu very very poor" (97698635)

  No heating in the room after 20.00 hrs and the room was never serviced

  "It would seem that this hotal has a lot of potential to be a really nice character filled hotel. Unfortunately it is let down by a lack of attention to detail and lack of customer service. I would have quite happy paid a little bit more for the room if the quality and service were improved. I still prefer it to the travel lodge up the road." (97760084)

  Breakfast was nice

  The hotel was a bit scruffy. No ironing in my room There was no stand up shower - awkward to use a handheld one in a bath with no curtains.
