"Adequate..... I was most perturbed by the door with the sign on it that said " This door must be kept closed at all times" was open on the both occasions that I saw it!" (107955686)
nice receptionist, nice olde worldy hotel, nice location
room was a bit tired looking and not so much olde worldy just dated, needs renovated and upgraded to modern standards

Largely very helpful and courteous staff, particularly on the phone in the run-up to check-in, and room was functional and quiet.
Poor bathroom with peculiar smell (not created by me), showerscreen that leaked all over the floor, and vile decor. One receptionist not the friendliest monkey in the zoo.

Comfortable, clean room. Great central location.
Toilet never flushed well.

Excellent location and staff. Very good price.
Room was a little disapointing given the advertised pictures. Bathroom was in need of renervation.

Parking arrangements (porter took car away and brought it back) were exceptionally good. Staff very friendly and relaxed

Food in Chambers Restaurant poor. Hotel difficult to find and parking not easy.

Location, history
The bathroom floor was slippery in bare feet or socks / tights even when dry, lack of space to open second case, fixed shower head makes for inefficient shower. We do not expect to be addressed as " you guys" by the Chambers staff and the service was slow. The lift is in need of service, the jolt as it stops makes one wonder if the next trip will make it! There was no check of identity by any staff member handing over the room keys, most of the time anybody could walk in off the street and any where in the building and I would assess the general security as poor.
