    Lovely setting just outside town, easy walk into Llangollen. All of the staff were friendly, attentive and clearly took pride in their work. The spa&steam room were fab, the food delicious (recommend booking an eve meal for a bargain although the non-resident menu bit pricy but worth every penny), the rooms were clean, tidy & the power showers great. would def go again!

    food menu's on pricy side but hey, you get what you pay for sometimes! the walls are indeed thin but we didn't mind at all as it meant we didn't feel too bad making some noise ourselves when nipping in&out of the room late at night. The view of the building site kinda thing out of our window not too good but when in such nice surroundings (inside the hotel&out) who cares?? would try requesting a riverview room next time.

    Stunning location alongside the River Dee with plenty of outside seating overlooking the fast-flowing river. Excellent food at competitive prices.

    "The position of the hotel is perfect, the staff courteous, food nice and with a few tweeks when considering disabled visitors, the stay would have qualified for 'good'. " (108322775)

    The hotel was clean, the staff courteous, the food good.

    I am a disabled person - we had to leave a bathroom light on all night as the bedside lights were out of reach. No bathmat on carpet outside wetroom - carpet got wet when walking in and out of wetroom. No handle on sliding door of wetroom. No internal phone in room. No fire exit/drill instructions. No handrail to get into spa pool; no chair to sit on in changing room; no hooks to hang clothes in changing room. Had to draw curtains in bedroom and put light on when dressing as room overlooked by carpark/building work. Vertical blinds/net curtains would be preferable.

    "We enjoyed a lovely weekend even though the weather was not brilliant. food in the bar and breakfast was beautiful and we spent a lovely relaxing hour or so in the spa when the weather turned nasty. overall a great weekend i would come again like a shot and have no qualms about recommending to friends."     Beutiful hotel excellent position and finished to an excellent standard. Staff were always impecably turned out and nothing was too much trouble.

    The only down point for me was our room was at the front and hence quite alot of traffic noise from the busy road outside.

    excellent accommodation in an excellent location with excellent food available in restaurant or in the bar ,friendly and pleasant staff-always willing to oblige

    No bad points to report,except for a faint odour in the bedroom that suggested that someone may have smoked in there despite written requests displayed to the contrary. Also the room temperature was a little on the high side despite the heating being apparently off,maybe this had been recognized as there was a freestanding remote -controlled cooling fan present

    Extremely clean. Staff very helpful and polite. Lovely view over river from room and also from decked seating area by bar.

    Room was very warm but there was an aircon in the room. Shame the spa is only open from 11 am till 7pm - would have had a swim when we arrived but it was just about to close.

    The location of the hotel is excellent, the view from our room was superb, every member of staff we came across was polite, helpful and friendly making it a superb weekend break

    "Great area to explore. Easy walk to llangollen but very cheap car parking is available in the town. Will want to stay there again but will take swimwear next time in order to take advantage of the lovely spa facilities at the hotel. " (107596470)

    Fantastic views from hotel and its terraces, wonderful and very generous included breakfasts, excellent bar with cheap drinks, lovely restaurant.

    The location and the spa where excellent, only a 10 minute walk into the town. Good value for money, staff were very helpful.

    The spa times could do with altering, we used it an hour before it closed around 6pm. I think shutting it at 7pm is a little early especially for visitors who may have come to stay straight from work, there's a good chance you would miss the oportunitiy. Also it doesnt re-open until 11am which is checking out time so if your only staying one night you wouldnt benefit from it at all. The tv was freeview at best, only 6 channels available and 1 of those kept trying going off and it wasnt coded properly.

    Hotel lovely, room really nice, recently refurbished. We had a great view of the river with hills behind, it was gorgeous! Bar area very nice and staff friendly and welcoming. Spa area really nice.

    We dined in the bar area as the restaurant was empty so not much atmosphere but it was Monday & Tuesday night which are generally quiet.

    Good staff service and decent clean rooms with a good breakfast.

    No satellite reception - no tv all weekend. Rooms were heated in summer so was pretty stifling! Payment is not taken directly off your card when booking over the internet - simply reserves the room.

    "Clean and modern hotel right on the banks of the River Dee. Our room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the river. It was a short 10 minute walk into town, where we explored at our leisure. Our evening meal in the resteraunt was excellent - good food, plenty of it and good value for money!     the accomodation was clean, spacious and up-to-date. We enjoyed the view of the hills and the trickling sounds from the river nearby. The staff were very friendly and were prompt to help with anything. The food in the restaurant was very lovely.

    during our stay we were alittle unfortunate to be in a room where below us there was a noisy wedding party going on and the radiator in our room would not turn off so we were baking in the heat!! We did call the reception but as it was so late it was difficult to do anything about it. It didn't upset our stay as we had a lovely time in wales and we are sure anyone staying there would be very pleased

    "The weather was not very nice when we arrived but the location and the hotel were both so nice it did not mar our stay at all. Check-in was quick and easy and we were promptly taken to our room. We only stayed one night in the hotel and in the evening we ate in the restaurant and the food was very good with good sized portions and a reasonable price. The ambience of the bar and restaurant area was very relaxing and it helped us feel at home immediately. The food service was also very quick and friendly. My wife and I had been considering going into the centre of Llangollen for a meal as we thought that we would get a better deal, but we are glad we opted to stay White Waters because we enjoyed our meal in a very relaxed way and the meal was not too expensive. It was well worth it. The rooms were very comfortable with probably the most comfortable bed that we have found in the UK during our several visits. The bathroom was clean and with all the appointments you would expect. The water pressure in the shower was good (in fact too good-it was like a theraputic massage but I would suggest that the hotel reduce the water pressure in order to save on water-not that I am complaining) Despite being seemingly a modern (and therefore clean) hotel it still has an old world charm in much of its decor. Carpets throughout were clean, lighting excellent and views from many vantage points around the hotel wonderful. We really got the feeling that the staff were doing there very best to please the guests. We checked out early in the morning, before the regular breakfast times and they still offered us breakfast without any fuss at all and it was perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer and will most certainly return in the future. Thanks to all the staff." (97483883)

    Everything. My wife had a medical exam in Cardiff but we wanted to combine this with a short stay in the North of Wales and we were very happy with the experience. the hotel was warm and welcoming, the rooms comfortable and tastefully appointed, the location delightful and the staff compotent and friendly.

    Modern and clean accommodation with a plentiful supply of tea and coffee plus complimentary bottle of water. River view was stunning. We ate an evening meal at the hotel, which was absolutely delicious and most filling. Breakfast was super. Staff very friendly and professional. Ample car parking facilities.

    Nothing to dislike, other than a leisurely 10 - 15 minute stroll into the town, but dont let this put you off.

    The jacuzzi and steam room were amazing.

    Room was noisy during the night. Creaking, and switching lights on and off, and loud talking from car-park, in spite of double glazing. Not the fault of the hotel, but some guests should learn to sleep at night...

    spa area - sold it for us, food - excellent, staff - one girl working flat out at bar, seating people, waitressing etc and she did a brilliant job. Helpful with taking bags upstairs - not told about the lift!!!

    The food was nice in the bar

    The room was barren and simple, the staff were slow, we waited 45 minutes on the morning to be asked what we wanted for breakfast, we requested a river view - we got a carpark view, the floorboards in the corridor and upstairs were so noisy we couldnt sleep, extractor fans in other rooms vibrate the walls, the green LED on the light by the door cannot be switched off therefore the room was glowing green

    Modern room and very fresh with modern quality furnishing for a standard room.

    Pity the room didn't over-look the river, but nevertheless, lovely views.

    "Never been to a hotel before where I have planned to re visit for a longer holiday! This is a beautiful hotel with a lot of thought to guest comforts without it being a sterile and business like environment. A warm real fire, a beatuiful view along the valley and friendly staff; only the spa adds to the relaxation and enjoyment. The food was delicious too. An incredible find!" (97747674)

    Alfie the parrot at the door was a lovely welcome! The outdoor decking and the view was delightful, wish we could have made use of it, so will be back in milder weather to enjoy it! The steam room and jacuzzi are excellent, clean and relaxing. Room was very cosy and comfortable with an exquisitly comfortable bed! Felt the proefssional yet informal nature of the staff was welcoming and homely with some lovely personal touches. Food was simply gorgeous, nice choice of menu which was slightly unusual but totally delicious

    Not much atmosphere in the function room, wished we had eaten in the restraurant, although the temperature was more comfortable.
