    Location & price

    Only just clean enough to feel like I wouldn't catch a disease. My "no smoking" room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke and got worse in the afternoon/evening. The staff was pretty disinterested, not rude, but rather disengaged.

    Room was clean and tidy

    Room overlooked the road; therefore very noisy. Blind did not keep out the light and the room was very hot, making sleep impossible. Plug missing on washbasin. No toilets near Breakfast Room.

    Near the attractions' destinations, convenience to transport

    Small rooms and showers, reserve double room but got twins instead. No lift, not good for one who has big luggage and stay in 4th floor.

    "I suppose it was ok - i wouldnt recommend it and feel that i should have just left on the day however not being overly flush with money was really disappointed. I work on front of house myself and feel that staff can make all the difference - they did not!" (108126280)

    Ideal for us a close to station and car park required

    The room wasnt overly clean. the staff were quite sharp and not offered breakfast although sat in restuarant for some time just for the staff to argue in a foriegn language and no hot water

    hotel was ok, service,breakfast is adequate.

    i was in third floor, single room. and no elevator. its very difficult to climb the stairs. i dont want to come back with hte same hotel if remains with out elevator.

    simple but adequate breakfast.friendly staff.were able to leave our luggage at hotel before and after check-in and check-out.clean rooms.On street with loads of bars shops and restaurants but not noisy.central to London city.just a few minutes walk from two different tube stations

    no lifts (stairs only).rooms and en-suite a bit small but good enough for short stays.some noise from adjoining rooms but other guests quite anyway (mid-week stay)

    Bien placé

    Chambre très mal tenue : cheveux sur le lit, poil dans le lavabo! Coupure de plusieurs heures de l'eau chaude. Coupure d'électricité le dernier jour.

    There was hot water and a kids channel on the TV and a good location.

    Ordered a cot for my 2 yrs old when booking on-line, when we got to the hotel NO-ONE wanted to no about it...My child had to sleep on a blanket on the ground, because my 4 yrs old boy was in the bed with us, also we were on the 3rd floor with a double buggy and no elavator...

    "I would rather not visit London than pay this kind of money to stay in a hotel with unfriendly staff who treat you as a pain in the arse rather than a normal human being. This is not my idea of what London is about and I am sure that this would not be accepted in my local area as a way to treat tourists.     Modern facilities

    Location difficult to find because of the small sign, continental breakfast very poor due to lack of selection and variety, the member of staff serving breakfast was not helpfull and would point at things rather than talk when I asked a question or was looking for something.

    functional, clean, very close to tube, airconditioned room

    very basic no frills, no soap or shampoo, one towel one pillow, no lift ( if u have a weak heart or bad legs this is not for you)

    Well situated. Proximity of Underground stations. Clean. Warm. Room configuration of single bed and two bunk beds was suitable for this particular family. Polite and friendly staff.

    Rather noisy room doors closing late at night leading to some poor nights' sleep. Shower only ran cold! TV remote did not work.

    excellent location for dining and tube system

    room was tiny. room over looked the busy street-very loud. asked for wake up calls 3 times and never received them. had to step about 18" to get into a bathroom that was so small you could not sit on the toilet without your legs being in the shower.

    "Was sufficient for one night, especially because there is a restaurant directly beneath it. Wouldn't stay there if staying more than 2 nights in London. Handing in the key everytime we left the building can get a little annoying." (107368094)

    Staff were friendly and helpful, especially when we thought we had left our luggage keys at home, staff were willing to help us 'break the locks' and found tools to do so. Thankfully we didn't need any hack-sawing done, but glad we asked for help. Breakfast was ok, I've had worse offerings!

    the hotel was in a great location, and for an overnight stay it was more than adequate. the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were all helpful when needed.

    the shower kept running cold... i got a nice hot shower but my partner had to suffer through a freezing cold shower! the water pressure was a bit touchy as well, and if it was up too high it actually knocked the shower head completely off the wall bracket... in retrospect it is all worth a good laugh though.

    "I do not think that the Royal Hyde Park can be classed as a Hotel, it is no more than a cheap dirty boarding house with a couple of over worked miserable staff to manage it. There are no facilities, the place is run down and dirty.The Following week we stayed in the Blakemore Hotel near bye, it was cheaper, had good rooms,facilities and attentive staff with bar and good dining facilities, and a good continental breakfast. The Royal Hyde Park is an absolute rip off it is NOT a hotel, but a total con." (107818733)

    Room not cleaned daily, shower not functioning properly. Staff not friendly (propably because only a few of them working excessive hours to run the place).

    This hotel was in a very good location for easy access to two underground stations very close by to enable travel to many attractions in central London.

    Breakfast room was very small and not adequate for the number of guests staying at the hotel, therefore we, and other guests had to queue sometimes in the reception area to wait for available tables in the breakfast room.

    fair service for fair price, we were little bit scary because of the on-line opinions, but it turned out to be over reacted on the spot. Nice, quiet room, very pleasent service.

    Lack of hot water in the evening was the only negative.

    good location,easy access to transport.

    Room cleaning inadequate,soaps toilet paper not refilled,cups not cleaned,no butter served with breakfast 2 days running,breakfast times too short(1.5hrs) .Mould on window frames ,ceilings,step into ensuite 300mm.(dangerous to the fit)Limited hot water.I think you get the picture,hate to complain but?
