    Good breakfast and price

    Poor room facilities in poor state of repair although basically clean. Need of a significant update and repair of utilities.

    THE ROOM WAS NOTHING LIKE DEPICTED ON THE WEBSITE. WE WERE IN THE "LODGE". DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE ROOM WAS NON SMOKING, THERE WAS A SMALL DRINKS BOTTLE WITH SOME LIQUID AND CIGARETTE ENDS IN THE ROOM WHEN WE CHECKED IN. ONE BEDSIDE LAMP AND ONE CEILING LIGHT DID NOT WORK.

    Good base to explore Tenby and the surrounding Theme Parks. Accomodation consists of Chalets away from main pub

    Not very welcoming. Main pub looked a bit run down and lacking atmosphere. Dog kept in chalet below us was barking a lot

    We were wondering what we had booked as we turned into the car park as the building itself looked very tatty and tired, and also the bar/lounge area was not that impresive i would probebly not spend a night in there drinking,i do not know if the hotel is a work in progress as the dining area looked very nice and also the room.

    "The bathroom looked like they had not being cleaned in a month. Staff not nice, Asked for ice for our baby for her milk, got ice but not that much, wanted to charge a 2 and 3 year old 6 pound for breakfast. Dirty old bar, to be honest for 80 pound we feel like we paid way to much, we stayed in 5 other hotels that week, that hotel was just the worst ever. Its a shame Wales had so many other hotels we could have stayed at, not family frienly....." (107130674)

    "WILL GO BACK AGAIN AND HOPEFULLY FOR A LONGER STAY.WE HAD GREAT WEATHER ALSO WHICH HELPED.WE DO HOWEVER LIKE THE AREA AS WE HAVE HOLIDAYED THERE MANY MANY TIMES BEFORE.NICE HOTEL GREAT LOCATION FRIENDLY STAFF LOVELY LODGE FAMILY ROOM." (107821825)

    VERY FUNCTIONAL ROOMS,IE BEDS, TOILET AND SHOWER,WHAT MORE DID WE NEED.

    easy to find, cheap.

    Room was small, hot, stuffy and noisy and looked out onto an ugly roof. Carpet had black marks on it and bathroom floor was not clean. Smell of rancid fat came up from the kitchens into the room. There was the sound of water running into the early hours and dogs barking. Sink plug did not work properly. There was no soap. We felt so uncomfortable we did not stay for the third night we had booked and paid for.

    "Generally it is a good hotel to stay. The food is excellent. But the hotel is short of staff so finding someone is difficult. Also on the website it mentions that Wifi is available but not for me. The Wifi is not available in all rooms." (107108584)

    i phoned to change dates with the hotel in july and they changed my dates with no fuss to the night of the 2nd august. this was a excellent piece of customer service and set the tone for the stay.

    however this was not to be the case and the stay was poor overall, check in really set the tone when we were asked did we know where the room was ? when i repliied no as we had never been there before the person was told to show us to the room which was another joke as when we left the ear shot of the other person we were just pointed in the general direction. As far as a family room goes this was barely adequate as it was far too cramped especially as we were led to beleive that 2 cots in the room would be fine, this was not the case. overall not a good advert for wales in general. the food on offer was very poor( quality and selection) and service was equally as poor.

    Room was clean and tidy, and had all the usual you would expect. TV, Tea and coffee making facilities, towels. (complementary soap and shampoo not included in the room which is unusual)

    The breakfast was terrible, dont bother with it go to a greasy spoon down the road or get a ginsters pasty from the petrol station! Breakfast is from 7:30-9am which they ask you what time you will come down for it when you check in. They obviously cook the breakfasts for 7:30 and then leave them on a hot plate until 9. So it was dried up and in places burnt. No sauces were available, and only them catering tubs of UHT milk for the coffee and tea (unless you pinch some real milk from the cerial bar)

    My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful,nothing was too much trouble for them.The breakfasts were excellent as indeed all the meals were,but I have to say that the "carvery" was simply superb.We were there for four nights and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.It is also a great base to visit so many places.

    Evening meal was superb. Staff were friendly and helpful.

    We didn't feel welcomed! Toilet seat not attached to the bowl. Had to ask for tea and coffee for the room (should have been there) Room quite noisy from people using the pub as they were sitting outside right under our window and it was too warm a night to close it. Other residents were quite noisy, banging doors etc.

    "The hotel smelt of chip fat, which I could still smell when I took my suit to the dry cleaners... my room was dirty, the toilet seat was broken, there were hairs all over the bathroom and in the plug, i had a hand towel as a bath towel. I managed to finally order my dinner after 40 minutes waiting to be served. I ordered the roast chicken with seasonal veg and new potatos.... I got chicken chips and frozen peas!.... The owners children were screaming and swearing outside of my hotel window for over an hour while riding on their bikes. I stay in hotels at least 3 times a month and I can honestly say this was the worst by far! " (99348546)

    Staff were really friendly, no hassles at all at check-in or departure, good entertainment on in the evening (karaoke). Breakfast was sorted out for us bright and early. All-round a clean, no BS, really friendly place to stay ina beautiful part of the UK. We'd definitely go back.

    Modern, light and airy room, with large bathroom and very good shower.The bed was a double three-quarter and extremely comfortable.

    "We enjoyed ourselves and the rooms were clean, but the service in terms of failing to sort out the broken lock was poor, and the smell of smoke in one of the rooms was not very pleasant." (97707398)

    It had plenty of parking, rooms were close together, good value for money.

    One of the rooms smelt strongly of stale cigarette smoke. The lock did not work on one of the doors, so one of the rooms had to be left unsecured with front door backing out onto the car park. Took me over 3 weeks to get a refund back for room that I cancelled.

    "the main hotel/pub is in need of refurbishment it was very clean, the breakfast was lovely, but it is obvious the hotel/pub part does need a lick of paint the landlady was a lovely person but she always looked like she had just got out of bed. overall we had a lovely weekend and all of my party did enjoy themselves."     the rooms where very clean,the beds where very confortable but some of the fixtures where not very good, the coat hanger fell off the wall when we hung ours coats up and the the bathroom sink surround fell on my husbands leg when he was having a wash.

    apart from these couple of things everything was fine

    "adequate and clean Would have liked some soap in the shower room hand basin would have liked to know that meals are not served on a Sunday evening so had to go out to search for a meal. The accommodation was in an annexe 2 storey block with a steep external flight of wooden stairs up,90yr old mother with us so a bit difficult! Fine for 1 night stay/stop over but a bit like 'American Motel'and lacking in personality. I do not know if there were rooms in the main builing so cannot comment on staying 'inside'" (97758814)

    Rural yet close to Saundersfoot and Tenby. Ample tea and coffee suplied.Lots of car parking.
