    Room overlooked the kitchen yard with a small amount of consequential noise in the late evening.

    Great room, spacious, light and clean with a huge bed. The front of house and waiting staff were impeccable and couldn't do enough.

    The restaurant. It was overpriced and the food was appalling. We waited 45 for our starter (which arrived lukewarm) and a further 45 minutes for our main course after that (which also arrived lukewarm). Portions were miserable.

    Beutifull rooms, staff were exellent friendly and attentive the food was delicious.

    food was expencive and the menu while being a pleasure to eat from did suffer by not including any more regular meals such as steaks etc.

    Superb breakfast. Spotlessly clean room. Excellent shower. Ludlow nearby.

    Barman doubled as wine waiter, common nowadays, but meant bar lacked any atmosphere.

    Visited before and main reason for returning is quality of rooms, food and staff.

    Not any really. The only down side is for a businessman with a restricted budget via work is the restaurant being out of bounds due to A'LA Carte menu although bar food is available and room service albeit at additional charge.

    "The Manor is a very well kept and a comfortable stay.I will have to return to sample an evening meal as the breakfast was the best I have ever experienced and I could not wait to get up each morning! Was nice to be a little out of town,but an easy walk in the day or evening with footpaths all the way. The staff were very efficent and friendly. Would recommend." (97279109)

    Very comfortable bed, excellent shower

    Over looking kitchen noisey fans and could hear working in kitchen. Could do with handles not knobs on bathroom doors.

    Restaurant options were limited to expensive three course meal. Would have liked an ala carte choice too.

    Eveything was excellent. Lovely setting. Comfotable rooms. Staff very attentive. Food excellent. Ceertainly a hotel to tell people about.

    NOTHING concerning the hotel. The only hitch was it was extremley difficult to find. Our friends had the same problem.

    "We travelled to Ludlow by train and were a bit concerned about the distance of the hotel from town, however we found it to be just a pleasant 20 minute walk from the train station. Fine for us, as we travel light but if you have lots of luggage you might want a taxi. We were very pleased with the hotel, the quality of the rooms and the public areas, the restaurant was lovely and the rural view and surroundings very relaxing. The staff were outstanding, providing excellent service in a friendly relaxed manner. The food in the restaurant was first class. One of the best hotel stays we have had for many years." (97585748)

    "An excellent hotel which has been loveingly restored. The bedroom was wonderful with the biggest bed I have ever seen! Breakfast was a real treat and porridge with whisky on it is definatly the way to start your day. We had a meal in our room and the food looked and tasted beautiful." (97872266)

    "Excellent choice of breakfast (cooked, fruit salad, cereals, dried fruits, natural yoghurt, porridge, and more. Bakers basket (croissants, pastries, toast) very good. Room was warm (radiator controls very responsive), beds comfortable, bed linen clean and warm, pillows large and plump. Bathroom superb. Digital flat screen TV with Freeview channels mounted on the wall had a very good picture. My only gripe was that the picture broke up (pixellated) on certain channels, and others were unavailable as the signal was too poor (but that can happen with digital)." (97425960)

    Very clean (in fact we were obliged to take our shoes off outside the room for fear of dirtying the carpet), modern, simply but effectively decorated. Large fully equipped bathroom, large bath and separate shower, theatre-type mirror, nice fluffy towels.

    I suppose the carpet was too light coloured for us to be comfortable walking on it after trudging around the countryside!

    "As above. We had no preconceived notions as to what to expect but to be honest our experience surpassed any which we might have had!! From the check in to check out we were treated 'royally'! The lounge and cocktails, made by the Manager, are worthy of special mention. We will certainy book again next time we are in the area." (97131599)

    Superbly furnished room - spacious with commanding views - comfortable and well equipped. Restaurant especially excelled all of our expectations and Management and Staff really accomodated our request and meals were a delight.

    Not really a dislike but would have found waste basket in room handy

    Amazing value, first class hotel and facilities. I fail to see how they survive on the rates charged, I only saw 2 other guests

    Whilst the food was excellent, £46 for a 3 course meal for a solo traveller is not what I would expect. Room service menu was good but very small portions.

    "This is a newly refurbished hotel done to the highest standards. The choice of menu for breakfast was exceptionally good and the quality was top class. The evening meal was excellent, but was a 3 course gourmet dinner with a limited choice and a high fixed price to match.If that is what you want then you will be delighted.
