    Friendly service, good breakfast,clean and tidy,helpful and invormative

    The heating in the room was not consistant. Had to keep asking for it to be put on. In the end was given a fan heater.

    Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Excellent breakfast. Warm and comfortable bedroom.

    Two lamps in bedroom and light over dressing table not working. Flooring (lino) in bathroom damaged.

    Nice big room, lovely breakfast

    Inside of windows need cleaning. Under the Heathrow flightpath so avoid if really bothered by plane noise. Didn't bother us at all though.

    Staff were friendly

    Shower was awful - no lock on toilet, no hair dryer, very hard bed, old fashioned decor, the bar closed between 3-5pm everyday (!), which was not stated at time of booking. Not advised at check in when breakfast was, subseqently missed breakfast.

    Lovely breakfast and evening meal, very comfortable bed and very quiet room

    Only served evening meal until 4pm on Saturdays but staff let us know the night before.(this was only a bad point because the meal we had was really lovely and we would have liked another!!Area is permit parking, can squeeze 5 cars into car park but would block others in, however the staff are fine with this.

    "Wasn't sure if it was still a pub - or a hotel converted from a pub. I felt at first that you had given us a false contract but as it was only for 1 night we weren't too concerned. From a marketing perspective its probably more approp for the short-stay business tourist and not the longer-stay leisure tourist - and I found the levels of quality and service reflected that - there are some very positive things in its favour, especially the 1 to 1 contact with the owners, but there were also some things that need attention if the aim is to attract more leisure tourists. I would use it again for a short business stay but couldn't recommend it for a longer leisure break" (97285941)

    The quietness, personal touch of the owners, friendliness of the locals, help with eg car parking and the flexibility eg to eat in at pub prices or out

    Tea making facilities not near a socket, lack of things to do literature,rattling sash windows, dusty furniture, esp TV table, - could have been cleaner

    "This hotel has a nice and popular pub on the ground floor which can be packed and very lively on some occasions such as the night of a big game of football/rugby. Some people, who rather have quiet early nights may find it disturbing. Others, who love beer and games would find this inn an ideal accommodation. In any case, the noise ceases before midnight (as long as I know of) and staying in a hotel with a pub that is loved by local people would be a great experience of London." (97422778)
