Excellent value for money, rooms clean, restaurant food very good including the full english breakfast.
Only bad point was that the credit card machine was not working.

staff were attentive and helpful, good food

Very good italian restaurant within the hotel seperately run.
Needed some decorating, but there was some work being done.

"Came a long way(from HK) to do some business;thought a stay in 'old' Rothwell would be a 'tonic' etc:WRONG." (97706033)
The staff are good people- working hard and pleasant...it's just the 'set-up' of the place is wrong as a hotel.
The layout of the place does not make for any 'quiet'..main rooms over the bar/disco etc.Our room was inadequate/nothing fitted in well...noisy window fittings and bed too soft etc etc.We left on am of 4 th day as dissatisfied greatly.also when there..no option for meal in evening.

Covenient location in centre of Rothwell
Drafty window (what a waste of energy). No control valve on radiator. Light over sink not working. No proper VAT receipt - just a compliment slip: only got a VAT no. after asking and a delay

Homely, friendly atmosphere with a great breakfast thrown in.
Rather limited choice of television and a little noisy on Saturday night from band in bar

Rooms are spacious enough, beds are good. Flexible and friendly staff. Lots of restaurants closeby. Hotel parking next to the hotel. Pets allowed.
Very poor cleaning (or not at all), no fresh towels, we had to do our total stay (4 nights) with one set of towels. Very noisy environment, both from street traffic and from bar visitors talking and drinking outside (underneath the hotel room windows) till very late. Hall ways and restaurant extremely hot, hotel room temperatures were fine. As a group of women, the street on which the hotel is, does not feel very safe.
