    Run very well with excellent hospitality. Had a great evening meal. Rooms are spacious, functional and well appointed.

    Rooms are in a modern block so are not as characterful as the main building. Traffic noise was also not great, but hardly the fault of the hotel.

    Plenty of parking on site. Beautiful garden with pond. Walking distance to shops etc. in Cheadle. Comfortable beds. Radiators worked well and were easily adjustable. We had a room in the extension block - room was modern and comfortable with a view over the garden. Interesting history as a Rectory.

    In the bathroom there was nowhere near to the washbasin/mirror to put things like toothbrushes, deodorants etc. when washing or using make-up, as the only shelving was above the toilet in the opposite corner of the bathroom. Hairdryer was available only if requested at reception.

    Staff were very friendly and accomadating. The food was of an excellent standard. Rooms are a good size for a couple of nights stay, bed being very comfortable.

    Unfortunatly the bathroom smelled of damp and midew, this was due to the blind for the window being a canvas material, not suitable for a small bathroom with a small window. Dvd player did not work.

    Garden and room was lovely, very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful! breakfast was lovely!

    Not much in the local town to eat out etc, but can travel to stoke for more options.

    town a bit disapointing and tatty.Didnt feel that rear carpark was secure but car was fine in the morning so need not have worried.

    Cheadle is not very nice - bit grubby and run down. Poor selection of places to eat outside the Hotel.

    Central location to village. Beautiful gardens. Staff were fantastic.

    The bathroom was not clean when we arrived, but having reported it, it was cleaned (although not thourghly) and a bottle of wine was given to us as an apology.

    Was very disappointed with the fact we kept receiving phone calls from hotel staff asking how long we will be for check in. On arrival, we just were rushed into room. Member of staff was very rude and not helpfull at all.

    Good friendly service, rooms overlook lovely garden, comfortable beds, quiet location.

    Although the rooms have been renovated and include good bedding, towels etc, some bits are still tired - e.g. single glazed windows, bathroom fittings. The main problem was with people walking around on the level above - there was little soundproofing and we were disturbed from 6 am onwards by some early risers above.

    very clean, very quiet,good food, plenty of parking, everything in working order and plenty of bathroom supplies.

    the food was lovely but we had to wait over an hour for our dinner order in the evening.. too long as we were very hungry.

    Staff were absolutely fantastic, made you feel welcome as soon as you walked in, we stayed in the barn a group of 8 of us and it was perfect couldnt have asked for a nicer place, will definately be going back next year

    Everything was to an excellent standard.There wasn't really anything to fault the hotel with.First class.

    If anything I thought the evening meals could have done with a vegetable accompoyment otherwise superb quality food.

    close to alton towers. breakfast was good

    when we checked in we were told that because the hotel was quiet the restaurant would be shut if we did not wish to use it immediately. we were also told that the bar would be shut by the time we returned from eating out at a local pub, again, because the hotel was quiet.

    The provision was basic but you didn't feel that it was cheap and nasty as you sometimes experience in such reasonably priced accomodation. Great breakfast, friendly staff, beautiful garden - comfortable bed.
