    "Very poor. I would strongly recommend book somewhere else. Lower grade staff were generally helpful but the overall feel of the hotel it is somewhere to stay on a heavy night out due to the noise we experienced and the state of the room." (108631760)

    Bathroom wasn't cleaned as there was toothpaste all over the taps. There was a half used radox bottle in the shower - was this supposed to be provided shampoo and shower gel? When I wanted to cancel the 2nd night of our stay due to the state of the room we had to pay the full room rate including parking and breakfast for the day we didnt' stay despite offering to pay a cancellation fee.

    Rooms Very Clean and adequate for purpose. Bathroom facilities Great and rooms very cheap. Good value for money. Friendly staff.

    Rooms are cold, and heating doesn't seem to be switched on. You can't adjust the radiators, and could do with some portable heaters.

    "This has got to be the most horrific experience of our lives! we have stayed in lots of hotels all over the country some even cheaper than this.On arriving at this 'sleek city center hotel!!' we soon discovered that the area wasn't too safe it was surrounded by boarded up buildings and some colourful grafitti,The hotelier was rude and abrupt, he looked at me as if i was mental until he discovered we booked online even then he didn't leave his seat, my partner was waiting to enter the £5 a night secure parking area . . (well needed in such an area) . he found this a hassle as he had to leave his seat to push the button. he made us pay immediately (including £2 charge for card) before giving us vague directions to the hole . . sorry . . room. The room stank, it was freezing, the covers were dirty, the toilet needed listed as a hazard and the outside noise was unreal as well as the internal noise. We planned to stay two nights and use a full day to shop and eat out, perhaps sight see. The area was full of take aways not that we would go looking for food here without our stab vests on. The rooms looked nothing like the ones advertised on line, the whole hotel isnt what is described, there is better chain hotels you could stay in . . we gave up after 2 hours didnt ask for a refund as the manager was busy on his phone and waved us away . . for an extra 20 pound a night try a premier inn - we did and had a brilliant newcastle experience at the metro :) . . pet... No matter how cheap - dont stay here ever - its not worth your health!" (108423608)

    Very clean, friendly staff, central location, great price.

    Quite noisy, we could hear people walking around and moving very clearly all night making sleep difficult at times.

    only £5 taxi ride form city centre.

    Very small room. Ground floor room, in a very noisy hotel. Hardly got any sleep. When it became quiet and we could eventually sleep the TV turned on at 6am so we got up and left - couldn,t be bothered to stay for breakfast just wanted o go home to get some sleep!!!

    "THE GENRAIL QUALITY OF SERVICE ON THE WHOLE VERY POOR." (108759587)

    CLOSE TO THE HOSPITAL, AND CLOSE TO THE TOWN CENTER FOR NIGHT LIFE.

    (1) I phoned on route to ask reception for parking, and was told to report to reception on arrival, and a gate would be poened,(£5 FEE) (2) When we arrived we picked up our room key, and found we had a doulble bed (NOT WHAT I BOOKED) whent to the reception and taled to the GUY, who told me that THERE WAS NO OTHER ROOMS. So we said that 2 grown men cannot sleep TOGEATHER (not gay,if we was no problem) and was offerd(A BLOW UP BED FOR THE FLOOR).(3)My mate asked for the £5.00 parking fee to be FREE OF CHARGE?, of good will? HE SAID NO. And IF WE LEFT HE WOULD STILL CHARGE US FOR THE ROOM.(4)He asked for payment and when i pulled out my debit card, he said there would be A £2.00 charge for USING MY CARD. But would take cash for the room the next day. (CASH JOB NON TRACEABLE??) My mate went to a hotel across the road,AND TOOK HIS CAR, FREE PARKING. And got a room for himself(£60) (5) Tth shower was in need of a re-fit. The shower head had mould build up, and in need of re-corking/sealing.I did not have breakfast, i did not want to chance it.

    The beds were fine, the shower excellent and the digital tv well appreciated on a rainy night

    A sink's tap was broken, the toilet door lock was broken, the staff was polite but not very friendly or talkative.

    easy location into city centre, and luckily had secure parking bedding and towels were clean

    location is just past an unsavoury looking part of town rooms are very basic - had more of a youth hotstel feel to it lounge area is not welcomming at all

    Torn sheet on one of the beds. No Cot for my 7 month old grandson although we had informed them on booking.

    Very good sized room for the price. Although we asked nothing of the staff they were polite and the thrown in breakfast was better than expected.

    The area was potentially dodgy as we saw a number of police cars circling the area and a drunken baffon tried to befriend us but thats what you get for wandering the streets at 10.30pm.

    Very noisy room - was woken extremely early by another guest slamming doors. Area not the most desirable. Room a bit cell-like.

    Poorly made beds in a noisy room, we were woken by the sounds of people walking in the room above and other guests' alarms, staff showed no interest, poor breakfast, bed's badly made, grossly over-priced - the worst hotel I have ever stayed in

    There was plenty of fruit at breakfast and the rooms were always clean.

    The breakfast could have been a bit better, wider variety and more toppings for sandwhiches. A 24hr reception, wasn't necessarily true. There wasn't always someone there and no where to leave the key in a safe place if this was the case and the guest was in a hurry.

    Cheap Rooms,Very clean rooms, and shared bathroom was very clean. Close to Newcastle train stations (about 10-15 min walk, though up a large hill) Taxi's cheap, or buses every few mins. No curfew as reception is manned 24 hrs. Very friendly staff!

    Breakfast: Continental: fruit, toast, cereal, tea and Coffee only! Finding light switches in dark coridoors. Cleaners clean rooms everyday, and won't take "no" for an answer.

    Ease of booking and checking in. Room was spacious and clean. Continental breakfast was more than adequate to make a good start the next day. Secure parking was good for peace of mind. Close to the city centre - 15min walk.

    Secure parking was £5 extra - remember to include in your calculations of value for money. Also the extra £2 charge fro using a credit card to pay - not common for hotel bookings. The geographical area was a bit rundown. Some of the general decor, carpets etc was a little in need of renewal.

    good secure parking. Great breakfast. Nice staff. Near bus stop And I've never seen a toaster like theirs.....it is great!

    double room a bit small no wardrobe- had to hang clothes on back of door Access to hotel and secure parking very hard to find due to 1way systems, sealed off streets,and road works.

    Easy access to city centre. Friendly and efficient staff. Good continental breakfast. Excellent value for money on a late availability rate. Good secure parking.

    Next to General Hospital - lots of emergency vehicle sirens and fronting onto a very busy road. Our room was quite small, but very adequate for an overnight stay.

    staff willing to accomodate my request for early breakfast

    my room was next to shared toilet (noisy extractor fan), and because it was so hot weather (summer), inside the room was hot, and having window open = noisy.

    "It was just about OK but I didn't sleep much with the uncomfortable bed and noise (rowdy guests late at night, hoovering very early in the morning) and the appalling lack of security above means I would never stay here again and would tell anyone else to avoid this hotel." (107992092)

    Free wi-fi, good shower and decent breakfast in the price.

    Uncomfortable bed, very very noisy late and night and early in the morning. I Came back on the second day to find the door to my room unlocked and wide open! I had valuables inside but luckily none had been stolen or touched so I didn't complain to avoid a tedious process.

    "I would take my ear plugs if i stayed again, you get what you pay for, the hotel was cheap in comparison to the others in the city. a cooked breakfast would have been nice rather than just the continental but continenetal was well presented and plenty of it." (107437724)

    location was great just outside city centre and very reasonable cab fares

    needs sound proofing, was kept up all night with pople going back to rooms and getting up in the night above us, these were not rowdy people, they were simply getting up or going to bed

    Clean, convenient for the town centre at a reasonable price, secure parking, breakfast (continental) varied and plentiful. Staff polite.

    Reputation of the area not good (according to relatives living in Newcastle) but we had no issues. Obviously converted from residential home and some rough edges - sink loose, mirror not hanging on wall
