    the staff were very friendly and the food in the restaraunt was excellent

    although the hotel has been going through renovation, there was a lack of attention to detail. eg unfinished plaster work in the room loose, shower head, un sightly marks on the restaraunt celling, old light fittings

    Friendly staff with considerate, flexible attitude.

    Full breakfast not available before 8 am - but they did fix me up and open the kitchen 15 mins early. No parking.

    "The hotel is undergoing refurbishment so the rooms looked tired, only 3 channels on the tv but hey you can do this at home. Breakfast was adequate" (107352029)

    "I would definitely stay again and would recomend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced and comfortable stay in Llangollen. As long as you are not expecting 5* hotel accomodation you wont be disapointed. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Unlike some hotels they seem to enjoy having customers!" (97140792)

    very helpful staff as to local sites and public transport. very central place to the town itself- a town with very regular public transport to other areas of Wales and border towns of England (eg Chester)All the essentials in the room.

    I loved my stay. The main light in the room was fused, but there were plenty of other lights in the room, so it was no 'big deal'.

    evening meal wonderful, pleasant and helpful staff.

    Bathroom in room in need of DIY attention and updating,and not as clean as could be. Breakfast disappointing, had better. Especially after wonderful evening meal night before.

    "We where visiting a relative that lives close by and doing the tourist thing in the process. We really enjoyed our stay in LLangollen and will stay at this hotel again in future trips. " (97031828)

    We had a great experience at this hotel. Staff, service, and food where all excellent. Its location is great, being situated in the town center, with everything within easy walking distance.

    Hotel was old and in places it showed a bit. Not sure if our room was one that had been updated of late but it showed its age and was small, especially for two adults with large suitcases. Having said that, it had all the amenities we needed and it was well equipped and clean and, considering the 'quaintness factor', was OK. There is no parking available at the hotel but there is a 'Pay and Display' lot very close by (Just a few short yards) which charges only 4 pounds ($8) a day. If you are physically disabled, and/or have a lot of heavy luggage, this hotel presents a few challenges. The staff are very happy to help with the luggage issue.

    "The room was very basic . No comfy chair to sit on .No remote control for the television. The shower in the bathroom was just a shower head run off two taps !!!!!! But the room was very clean and we belieave the owners were in the throws of refurbishing the hotel as they had only just taken over. We had an evening meal and you could not fault it. Everything was homemade and the service was excellent. If that restaurant was near where we live we would be using it regularly." (97392186)

    The owners were very friendly and helpful.

    Our room was behind a curry house so the smell of curry was wafting into our room which wasn,t very nice.Large windows with no double glazing to keep out road noise as we were in the middle of town.
