I had to work a little in my room and neither wlan nor ethernet cable did work (room 302, the wlan router in 2nd floor left side was defect, I had to find out). Pleas fix it.

Had room o first floor and with window open (Hot Weekend) it was very noisy because Gower steet is major road joining Euston to Bloomsbury on the one way system.Out all day on second day in London, when arrived back to get changed for the evening our bed was not made up.Did inform the night porter, who said he could nothing as he was the only person on duty.Breakfast room is rather small and gets rather hot, if you are not down for breakfast by 8:30am you have to wait in the passage way in a queue.

Unusual bed layout for twin beds - 2 beds, 2 sheets but one cover to go over both beds.

"Not a pleasant stay. This is a small hotel - smaller than it appears on the outside. The customers do not seem to want to hang around and the lack of a restaurant and a bar and lounge means that one is inclined to stay in the hotel room or walk quite some distance to find somewhere to eat and this makes for a dull and lonely evening. The staff try their best and everything is clean but it all seems to be run on a shoestring and the cheap, gloomy decor and atmosphere do not help. All in all, not an experience I would care to repeat. " (107765527)
The location was good for the conference venue. The lavatory flushed OK. There was a free Internet connection available and the receptionist told me the password without being asked. Generally the staff seemed friendly and willing to help and problems were dealt with quickly.
The bedroom light could only be operated from outside the door there was no bedside switch. There was coffee and tea etc, on the bedside table but no kettle - just a thermos full of warm water. There was little floor space left when I put my case down. The duvet was just a piece of material hemmed to look like a duvet; it looked cheap and was not warm. There was no restaurant in the hotel and none near enough. The breakfast was like a child's portion with half a tomato, a small sausage, small egg, small rasher of bacon, spoonful of baked beans. The cafetiere was served with the plunger down and the coffee came out bitter and full of grounds. The table cloths and chairs looked cheap. There was no lift. The fire instructions need reviewing as they did not indicate where the fire alarms were located. The television broke down although it was repaired OK. There was no instructions in the room, no welcome pack explaining how things worked or what services were available etc.

The cabin room was tiny. There was a window pane missing from the window and covered with cardboard letting in a draught. When I explained this problem to reception, I was advised to 'turn up the radiator'. teh room was simply to cold and cramped and I asked to move rooms. I had to pay an upgrade for this privilege.

Good value room, very quiet. Good breakfast within a budget price.
Check-in was a bit chaotic as I arrived just before a group of three and I was left while the other three were dealt with, including advance paying, so I had to ask for my key. But otherwise fine.

Good location. Breakfast room bright with friendly personnel. No fitted carpets in neither breakfast room nor hotel room. Bathroom fresh. My room faced the back (garden), it was quiet.
Too few hangers in the room. No room for suitcase, except at the end of the bed. Draught by the window.

Very good location and calm area. Very loyal management. I forgot my watch in the room and they give it back to me when we got our luggage back. Very much appreciated !
We got a triple room and the safa bed for my son was not good at all and very small.

The staff were courtious and helpful. The dining room staff were fast and efficient and food was excelent. The hotel was very convienient to the Museums, shops and transport links. Very warm and welcoming. It had a plesent ambience and we would stay there again.
Because it was a listed building there was no lift and the stair rails needed renewing,as did the carpet in the busiest parts of the building. There were minor repairs needed to walls and windows, which took from it's plesent interior. Staff should have knowledge of the times of bus and Tube lines. Their English language skills were lacking in some cases which led to confusion.

Clean room and facilities, good heating system
Clostraphobic room, had tea making facilities but no kettle, the en-suit was not big enough to wash in use the toilet or mirror without having the door ajar. The bed was to small and I personally hung over the length and width. To dress in the morning I had to sequencially move my case, open and close the wardrobe door and take under clothes from my case as there was no drawer or shelf to store them. The wardrobe was not wide enough to hang a shirt or jacket and close the door unless you only hung two shirts and one suit. There was a safe in the wardrobe but the power lead did not reach a power point.

Value for money, definately. A good position in London
The stairs were a bit of a nightmare as we were on level 3 which meant we had 6 little flights to go up. Breakfast room was a little small. Had to wait for breakfast in morning but not too long.

The staff was very polite.
The premises were in bad conditions. Tiny stuffy rooms, no air at all,the floor of the bedroom was uneven (not flat, it was like a slope), tiny bathroom,the garden needs a lot of care. We changed rooms and the best one was on top of the kitchen, so very early in the morning there was noise and horrible smell of oil coming from the fries. At breakfast they ran out of cheese, two guests asked for more, but they had none.It was really embarrassing.

Breakfast room was warm, inviting, and pleasant. Dining room staff brought me coffee when I overslept breakfast due to jet lag coming over from the USA. Pleasant and helpful staff. Clean. Good location and neighborhood.
Bathroom was extremely cold. Hot water in shower but so cold you did not really want one. Th room was warm but the bed was against the window (a garden room) so the draft was icy cold.

It was not as depicted in the advert. The room was very small. The roof in the room was leaking.Definitely not a four star hotel.

It was nice to have wireless internet free of charge, the bathroom was not big but quite nice.
The curtain in the room was filthy, we wouldn't have missed it if the room did not have one, but this filthy one was a disappointment. The window was very hard to get open. The carpet could have been cleaner in the room.

The man on the front desk tried to be very helpful.
The room was on the ground floor. It was very small and I had to ask to have the bed cover removed as there was nowhere to put it ( it was dirty as well). The door was unabled to be locked and there was an outside door which had a very insecure lock.As I was on my own I felt unsafe and had to move the table in front of the door.The TV could not work due to the remote control needing a battery which ,I was told , the manager would see to in the morning. I was only booked for one night.......luckily.

"Mostly the staff had English as their second language and we've stayed in other hotels in the area that were far superior with more attentive and well spoken staff. We booked 3 rooms in total and one of our party wanted a bottle of water from reception in the early hours of the morning and wasn't even allowed to buy one and was told to go to the shop down the road. My wife and I went to separate events and returned at different times but with only one key, when I tried to get the staff to let me in, despite trying to get a second key before going out, I was told that they only had us down as single occupancy, despite us both checking in together. Location was fairly good. Not too far from a car park or tube.
3/4 size bed pushed up against the window. Uneven floor. Tiny shower. No dressing table and only mirror was too high so had to stand up to straighten hair.
