    price quoted was £45.00 how ever I was not informed at the time of booking that £45.00 was a cash price .The price by credit or debit card is£50.00 which is rather steep as this is over 10% HANDLING FEE

    I realize the check-in for the hotel I booked closed at 11pm. My flight was due to arrive at 10:20pm but was delayed 1 hour leaving Zadar, Croatia. Needless to say I didn't get into Stansted until 11:20 and had no way to get a hold of the hotel in Zadar once past the tiny gates or on the plane to tell them the flight was delayed. So, hotels that need that close at a certain time should realize that flights can be delayed (especially budget airlines like RyanAir) and travellers may not have a way of contacting the hotel in the flurry that is travel and airports. I slept in Stansted Airport on the floor this night even though the hotel I paid for was 3 miles away. I had no way to get in. Not a formal complaint but it should be known the check-in is not accomodating to people who have unforeseen circumstances happen to them.

    I was early to check in and rang the number posted on the reception door, someone then came out and checked me in promptly.

    The sink taps were inadequate for the sink and leaked if not turned off very tightly.

    the shower was nice

    staff was very rude on the phone and we were not informed that we had to check in before 11pm - to the point where the host said he would shut the hotel even thought we rung to say we were on the way about 10 mins to 11pm!!

    only thing i would say is that on arriving at the hotel we were both hungry and would have liked sndwiches to be have been on offer as we then had to go the nearest pub to get something to eat

    "We were disappointed in the room as we had booked a twin and were given a double and there was little opportunity to speak to anyone regarding this as the 'receptionist' appeared to be a young lady helper who was simly there to take the money. The room was tiny, no room to move around and was not very clean. Lots of biting insects did not enhance the overnight stay. Mirrors and bathroom facilities were inadequate. Taxi service next day 25 minutes late and there was no way of contacting the management of the hotel who supply the shuttle service." (97190315)

    The location, near Stansted airport and an excellent pub, The Hop Poles for a good evening meal.

    Very poor accommodation.

    The rooms were small, if there were 3 persons in the room it would be too small eventhough there was a double and single bed. Check in was fine however there was no friendly atmosphere or warm feeling of welcome.

    not told beforehand that using credit card was costing us £5, we would have given cash if we had known and also we were led to believe we would have some form of breakfast which we believe was included in the price so had to rush out and buy food at the petrol station......

    "There is a pub - Hop Poles not far away. We eat there. Good pub food and friendly owners. However although we were given a torch, we drove the 500m or so as the road was unlit and had no pavement!" (97721519)

    The hotel is set in a small village location and is quiet and peaceful. The room was clean, warm and comfortable if a little small. I ate dinner in the local village pub, The Hop Poles, where the service was friendly, the food excellent and the surroundings comfortable.

    "Would have liked to have known real cost of stay - also that it was necessary to have transport if you a meal,the local pub which is approx half a mile down a dark country lane. If I had known the real cost I would have stayed at one of the airport hotels which are more convenient and, as it turned out would not have been that much more expensive." (97095625)

    Price quoted did not state it was for cash only - extra for credit card payment, although it was necessary to give cc details for booking. Only after booking did it state it was necessary to get a bus from airport (which ceased at 1845) then walk 1.6km to reach hotel. The only avenue available when I arrived at Stanstead was a taxi at a cost of £11. Shuttle transport was available in morning if requested.

    as it was an overnight accomodation at Stanstedt Airport we were vere irritated by the false information avout the distance from the airport. On the net it was said to be 4.8 km but in reality it was the double at least.

    The room was very clean.

    The Greenways Lodge is not very well sign posted from the road. We arrived in the dark and nearly missed it.

    The setting - the village was charming.

    It is inconvenient not to be able to check in until 4 o'clock. We arrived a Sunday morning. It was also inconvenient that when our taxi did not arrive, there was no one to help us - there is no staff during daytime. Also we were unable to turn off the heating.

    value for money, free internet and printer, friendly staff, free iron and ironing board, quiet and peaceful although near an airport. Would recommend..

    shower temperature controls needs some attention, and the room heater controls should be accessible within the room

    "we were looking for an affordable room close to stanstead airport and this is what we found. on the internet when booking it stated that we must send an e mail to the hotel to confirm arrival time and need for transfer. this we did but it took a follow up e mail to get a response from the hotel. information on hotel explained that there was a place to eat and drink nearby but didnt explain that the road was unlit, busy and with no footpath. very dangerous to be walking along it after dark. The room was small but fine, plenty of hot water. it would have been better if we could have changed the temperature in the room ourselves - far too hot. overall a good option for a cheap room close to the airport if you dont want to do anything but rest."     "I would definately stay here again as it is very convenient and provides excellent low cost accomodation. En-suite was a plus as was own entrance as most B&B's are within owner's property. Lovely dog!" (97684820)

    Clean, comfortable and very convenient for the airport. Free transfer at 5am was wonderful and staff very freindly and helpful.
