  "Although this hotel offered good value for money and the room was clean and a good size, I'm not sure that I'd stay here again. I'm used to having tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer in the room - also there was no double bed available - another important requirement. I knew about the twin beds but didn't know about the other two points. Thought it was a bit sexist that there was a trouser press but no hairdryer!!?? Also not keen on having the radio on in the breakfast room with the host's choice of radio station which was not necessarily my choice." (107741013)

  The room was very clean and a good size with comfortable beds. The breakfast was good. The staff were very pleasant. The area was very quiet and convenient to where we wanted to be.

  I found it unusual that there was no hairdryer in the room and yet there was a trouser press. Also I would have much preferred a tray with tea and coffee making facilities in our room. I like a cup of tea in bed in the morning first thing. I had to get dressed and walk down the corridor to the honesty bar, then return to my room because the kettle was empty and the only place to fill it appeared to be our ensuite. I then had to walk back to the honesty bar to plug the kettle in and wait for it to boil, make the tea and go back to bed! One of the bedside lights wasn't working.

  "Perfect!I really recomend this place for a relaxing/ close to the nature staying. If you are looking for entertainement, pubs etc this is not the place for you!" (107454680)

  warm wellcome, friendly atmosphere, room properly equipped, beautiful landscape from the window, Breakfast is excellent, restaurant serves very nice and fresh food, with a great service. relaxing place in the contryside,very close to the sea and Nendrum Monastic site, which is a lovely landscape. I recomend this magic place!

  Not really 10 minutes from Belfast, as stated on the website. The problem is the bad road (as every other in Ireland unfortunately!), without lights in the night

  "Very disappointed - wasn't even able to settle my bill as no-one was around - although, I would have objected to paying the full price given the restaurant was closed, no internet access and no breakfast!" (107462942)

  Comfortable clean bedroom with good TV

  No-one was intially there when I checked in. No internet access (even though stated available on website and paperwork. No one turned up in the morning to provide breakfast (even though it was booked for 8am the previous evening. Hotel was out in the country with no local restaurants and their own on-site restaurant was closed!

  good location, farther from town than expected. ground floor room

  no provision for dinners as specified, only informed at 5.15pm on 2nd day. no choice of menu for main course at breakfast.

  "As a stopover it was fine for a one night stay but I dont see myself going back as it was too quiet for my liking and a bit pricy for were it was situated" (97057052)

  The accomodation was clean and warm and freindly

  "The booking process let the stay down totally. At the time of booking it was understood I had made payment yet when I went to check out the hotelier advised me I needed to pay. This caused a delay and big confussion. I would not book with yourselves nor recommend this site to anyone." (97405110)

  "This Hotel was significantly different to the average and the atmosphere was brilliant. Staff ensured the guests went without nothing they required, and, all the guests present revelled in the quirkiness the Old Schoolhouse was steeped in. Overall the best hotel we have ever stopped in and thoroughly recommended." (97737066)

  The atmosphere, the staff, the cleanliness, the facilities available and the warmth created that a larger competitor could never offer.
