    Filthy room.. A full bottle of thick bleach didn't clean the stains in the toilet. tiles were either off or hanging off the wall around the bath, for a hotel that appears to have 16 rooms or more (We were in room 10)there were only 2 small tables in the dining room,(they even ushered another client onto our table for his breakfast while we were sitting having ours.) The ceiling in the lounge area had obviously collapsed at some point due to perhaps a flood. There was a window above our bath which led into the hallwaythat was clear and not frosted so if anyone stood on a chair they could have seen anyone who was in the bath or having a shower. Fittings around the bath were covered in rust. I had to ask one of the staff to put some batteries in the TV remote as they were missing.And unbelievably they have certificates around to say they are RAC and AA accredited.

    Cheapness and support in allowing me to leave the car on the premises as I was working locally. Parking fees locally are enormous.

    Shabby, (not dirty), late breakfast, very cramped facilities in bedroom.

    There was no reception,there was no wellcome ,our room was not ready yet. Wery noisy rooms,there was no warm water in the bathroom,only ice cold or very hot. The breakfast was ridicolous,(one fried egg,a spoon of been,one slice of ham)only these,every morning.It is not enough even for a 5 years old child!

    Pungent cigarette smoke pervaded everything, starting in the hallways. Surprise 5 pound surcharge on credit card bookings, revealed after arrival, "waived" for cash payment. Feels very grubby to be part of some tax avoidance scam at check-in.

    "The Hotel from the outside is very nice and also the gardens at the back from the bedroom window looked very inviting but we were very, very disappointed with inside the Hotel, this Hotel needs refurbishment or you will keep having bad reviews. If you could guarantee me that your Hotels are welcoming and are clean and tidy I would consider enjoying a break away again with Active Hotels." (107689900)

    Reception area not welcoming and customer friendly due to the carpets being very worn and dull and wallpaper coming away from the ceiling in some areas. Furniture very dusty and needed cleaning. Tablecloths on table dull. Up the stairway to the rooms the carpets were well worn. On the ceiling outside our bedroom door there was wallpaper coming away from the ceiling and a large brown water stain showing. The hotel bedroom was very small, inside the carpets were very dusty, the furniture was dusty and inside the dressing table was debris from the previous guests. The lighting was not adequate. The Ensuite was very small very unclean, the toilet seat was marked, the sink was unclean, and the shower cubicle was very unclean, the shower head very unclean and stained and wobbly. The sheet and quilt cover were white and clean but the quilt underneath was badly stained. The headboard was coming away from the wall because the nails were loose.

    Staff were frinedly enough and free parking outside. Also very close walking distance to town.

    Very unclean, shared toilets and shower. A bit grimm and I was bitten all over my body. (bed bugs) Awaiting some kind of compensation but so far staff very unhelpful! Advice: don't stay in the room I did, they apparently only sprayed it, should've got professionals in to properly do it! Sorry, my review couldn't be any worse, still covered in itchy lumps, its gross!!!

    There were no good points

    No WiFi in nroom as advertised. Room badly damaged from where the door had been forced open. Sink in room did not work. No hot water after 7pm. The room was not cleaned at any time during our 3 night stay

    I have stayed in my bed and breakfast hotel and i cannot find any good point about Woodvile. The establishment need a total refit

    blocked waste drains, toilet far away from the rooms, worn out carpet, environment generally very dirty with sigh of leaks on the roof the corridors, stair etc,Some showers do not have hot water.

    "This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed-in. I only stayed one night instead of two that I booked, Without shower and no working toilet. 2nights already taken out of my credit card.     From entry to guest house, we were asked for cash upfront for our stay, that quite surprised us we pay on departure. Credit cards were deemed as extra charge. Our en-suite room turned out to be a wardrobe which doubled up as a very small shower and whb, which was hanging to the wall by a thread - toilet(most important) was 'down the hall'. This was also a shower room which was soaked from previous users, even had underpants left on the floor! Room! Where do we start? ceiling paper hanging off, as were the curtains. Huge cupboard which housed an enormous boiler which was quite (almost)amusing as ther was no hot water - in any of the rooms we later found out. No plug forwhb. Makes shaving hard my husband says. Bed linen and 2 bath towels excellent! One small hand towel had obviouslr been used previously... One small wardrobe and I mean small. At a guess 4' high by 18'' wide, cmplete with 3 broken hangers. One ancient rocky bedside cabinet. Very dirty room. Dusting had not been high priority, literally could wipe your fingers over furniture and get huge result. Breakfast was very sad! By this time, we were reluctant to eat at same. Toast and butter(pre packed) was all we could venture. When all seemed like it could not get worse - it did! On our return from breakfast, we found that our room had been entered.The large window was open - a flat roof was below, but it was a high room. We feel almost without doubt that our room was checked out - I always take my purse with me to breakfast wherever we stay, which was just as well. We challenged 'reception' but of course they had no answers. This was suppossed to be a 4*AAAAor 3* AAA sorry but you really need to check this B & B it is not even worth 1*. At the end of the day your reputation is on the line. Just for your information we intend to aware both Health & Safely Dept. and Environmental Health regarding this Guest house. We really think you might think twice before advertisig this on your website. I hate to have to say this, but we would be hard pressed to use your web site again due to our realy, realy bad experience

    nothing special,they charged me £5 extra than they specified through internet and i doubt that how did they do this i am going to complain this to my bank ...becuase on the billing reciept it showed only £54.99 and they charged me 59.99

    Pleasant..Simple,Good Shower.Internet availability.

    Breakfast could have been better (Vegetarian options other than eggs?) The main drawback was the other clientele! Basic manners should always be observed so I felt rather sorry for the people working in the hotel.Obviously many guests have not been taught to always treat others with respect. I found the system of payment rather alarming - Card details and then cash on arrival!

    I did book for an ensuite double room online on arrival i was informed the were no more ensuite double rooms. The staff very nice and polite though, gave me a twin room with the bathroom and toilet just some few steps away from the room. I would have been happy if i was given what i ordered for. No discount was given.

    "Hotel was worth the price. Accommodations are basic and it is a bit too far off the beaten path. Staff was quite nice and treated us and our requests with respect. We did not take advantage of the included breakfast, so have no input on that. Internet was available 24/7 which was very handy. All in all, we felt we got what we paid for and if the management/staff continue to make small improvements here and there they should have moderate success." (97518868)

    The staff was very friendly; they were quite helpful in our request to check in early and aided us in getting a cab for an evening out.

    Although it was clear that they made a sincere effort to provide pleasant accommodation, there is still room for improvement. They could pay a little more attention to detail regarding amenities. Plus, the location is a little out of the way of public transportation, but that is beyond the control of the management.

    The quite good facilities: 24 hours free Internet, 24 hours free tea and coffee. The fair price for the stay.

    No room service within the 2 days: Very strange experience! It also took getting used to the environment of the hotel.
