    "Had stayed at hotel 10-15 years ago and the highpoint in my memory was the dining in the restaurant. Didnt quite live up to expectations but still good. Did seem pricey for what you got and location." (108398091)

    Lovely building and very friendly staff.

    Room definitely overdue a refurb. Bathroom very dated. Plumbing not fantastic (but it is a very old building).

    A beautiful building and a friendly welcome. The breakfast was very good too. We also enjoyed playing pitch and putt on the lawn.

    Slightly dated (old TV for example).

    The hotel staff esp. the general manager were friendly and attentive but discreet. Food was a gastronomic delight. There is a genuine air of pride in the staff's attitude towards the hotel and guests.

    Very little to gripe about. The driveway into the hotel needs a little repair and dust on the TV in room.

    Nice rural setting, welcoming athmosphere, friendly staff, warm and relaxing

    Road acccess to the hotel from the main road is a gravel road although not in the bad condition, dinner meny sligltly pricey but food was delicious.

    "Coul House Hotel exceeded all my expectations for comfort, food, drink and a relaxing atmosphere. I'm looking forward to a return visit in the not too distant future!" (107950677)

    Location, grounds, atmosphere, superb food, friendliness of staff, spacious public rooms with mountain views, excellently stocked bar, free wi-fi. Ideal base from which to explore the stunning scenery of the Scottish Highlands and islands.

    No lift for disabled guests or even heavy luggage. No sheltered place for smokers to enjoy a cigar or pipe after dinner. Speaking only for the single room I occupied the tv need upgrading to offer digital/satellite channels; noisy ventilation motors in bathrooms; I could clearly hear the one in the adjoining room. Bathroom lighting needs improvement.
