    This is the best hotel that I have ever stayed in within Europe, no exageration. It has earned it's 5 stars.

    Very attentive helpful hostess. Beautiful house. Easy parking. Very generous breakfast. Complimentary drinks and crisps when we arrived which was a lovely thoughtful touch. Immaculately clean. Comfortable bed.

    Position of room-ground floor, near front door. Sickly smell of air freshener. Fussy teddies and cushions. Very noisy bathroom fan. No room to make up and do hair. Dressing table full of teamaking equipment etc.

    Great hotel lovely location, Staff superb - very helpful. Ideal if you are going to Murrayfield or just looking for a quiet night or two in Scotland's capital city.

    "A perfect overnight stay with a massive and very well presented breakfast. I would not hesitate to reccomend this hotel to anyone." (107135924)

    Alan gave us an excellent and very warm welcome, with tea and delicious chocolate cake, the room was very comfortable and the hotel is very well positioned for the bus routes into town with bus stops right outside the hotel.

    The hosts made us feel at home. They were able to recommend activities for the city and restaurants. The breakfast was great with a very good selection of fruits, cereals, and cooked breakfast. The accommodations were wonderful. We would definitely stay there again if in Edinburgh.

    Driveway was a bit tricky, but no bad points overall! Slightly expensive, but overall an expensive city anyway, the hosts made it feel worth every penny.

    "It was excellent. We had the kind of personal service and attention that one would never get in a hotel. It was expensive, by Canadian standards, but it was wonderful to be looked after so well." (108088588)

    The owners of the B&B were very friendly, very helpful, very accommodating. They made a dinner reservation for us, called a taxi, provided a very early wake-up call on our last day and a very early breakfast - in short they pampered us. The room was large, well-furnished, and comfortable. And there were some very nice amenities - robes, a decanter of sherry, chocolates, and a large basket of shampoos, conditioners, bath gels, soaps and lotions. In addition the breakfasts were excellent - great food, great variety, wonderful cheeses, fresh fruit, and more.

    I cannot think of a single bad point.

    "It was very clean, immaculately decorated and well heated. We were offered tea and pastries on arrival which was very welcome after a 6 hour journey. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who informed us where to eat, which buses to catch... The breakfast was magnificent, everything you could possibly think off and more besides. One of the best guest houses we have ever stayed in. Highly recommended." (97286755)

    Accommodation was very clean and close to Princes Street.

    Not a bad word to write - it was fantastic.

    "Alan met us on arrival and offered coffee downstairs once we had freshened up. He gave us recommendations for dinner that evening which was most helpful. The room was marvellous; great bed, lots of little toiletries in the ensuite and a decanter of sherry. In the morning Andrena was our hostess for a colossal breakfast which we simply could not do justice to. We left our car for the rest of the day while we were doing the tourist bit after we checked out. A great place to stay, welcoming and comfortable. We will be staying again when we return to Edinburgh." (97248566)

    "The guest house is rightly classed as 5* accommodation. We stayed in the Campbell room which was spacious, comfortable, elegantly furnished and superbly equipped. The little extras such as complimentary chocolates, pastries and toilettries were much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel at home, and the breakfast was delicious - and enormous! We wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Kingsburgh again." (97417943)

    The room was comfortable and beautifully furnished, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hotel. And a short bus ride into the the city centre!

    Only one thing - the 3 pictures on the bedhead wall did not go with each other. A map (?), a picture of a mountain range and a poster of a coffee ad!
