    "I wouldn't rush to stay again,the hotel was empty and despite this we still were given a very poor room. I emailed asking for a late check out but despite this and the hotel being empty it was denied!!" (107629788)

    The hotel had been refurbished.

    The room was far too small, only a shower not a bath, it over looked the bins at the back of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was dismal, but the cooked breakfast was ok.

    Nicely decorated room and good breakfast

    When I arrived at the reception desk I had to wait 10 mins before someone came to check me in and I didn’t get an apology ? I had requested a quiet room so I was very surprised to find out that I had been put next to the boiler room which made a terrible noise every time someone switch their taps on? When I complained I was moved to another room that I was happy with. I then went downstairs to see what DVD's the hotel had to watch but even though the hotel literature said they had them at reception I was told that they only had a couple and they didn't know where they were? I went back to my room to have a nice hot bath but the water was cold. The lady on reception told me there was nothing they could do because the water heating was faulty so I had to have a wash in cold water. The receptionist did say I could move to a room with hot water, but as I had already been moved before and had just got undressed and got all my work out to complete on my laptop, so I had to say no. I then discovered black hairs.(I am blond)? in my bed and around the bath and the toilet was splashed all over with brown stains? When I told a member of staff the next morning he said he would tell someone about it but never got back to me?

    Beautiful, well appointed refurbished bedroom, huge comfortable bed. Clean. Friendly staff. Excellent food.

    Excellent as we had previously stayed here when it was The White House and there has been a major uplift in the standard

    The buffet breakfast although very good content was only lukewarm. Had the fresh cooked scrambled eggs and salmon on the secod morning and this was very good indeed

    "very good overall, and about 15min drive to cheltenham racecourse which was ideal for us. I did think that their advertised cost of £300 per person per night for b/b for the forthcoming cheltenham festival in march was a bit steep!" (108044433)

    we stayed at the regency hotel to visit the nearby cheltenham race meeting. The hotel has almost a completed refurbishment, the executive room which we had was excellent room with modern decor,new carpets throughout, wall mounted flat screen modern t.v. and also free access to the internet (via own laptop). The evening meals were very good (a little pricey but worth it) very friendly and helpful staff.

    only one thing really, the buffet breakfasts were not that hot, although the food was of good quality, it was let down by not being kept warm enough on the 'heaters', we did complain to staff.

    "me and my son had a very enjoyable stay , we took dvds to play in our room , and cds which will play on the dvd player , on the sunday we went for breakfast at 08.00 , i thought the breakfast was very good indeed , and the staff were very nice and helpful . " (107695110)

    me and my son , found the hotel very good , the room has just been painted , and has had a complete re/fit , flat screen television , and dvd player .

    "Despite obvious disruption caused by refurbishment the room and breakfasts were excellent." (97944460)

    We were upgraded to a suite, which was top quality. Breakfast was very tasty.

    Reception point not clear due to refurbishments. Atmosphere lacking, most likely because of disruption.

    Excellent value for money

    The only two things I didn't mark "excellent" were because (a) the hotel was being refurbished & there was a smell of paint and (b) there were no operating instructions for the aircon. Otherwise everything was excellent.

    TV had poor picture quality for some channels. Bathroom was small and badly decorated. Bed quilt had a hole in it. Decor looked very tired.
