    "An excellent hotel but would not consider if you have children as the leisure pool has restricted times on the children. would highly recommend for buisness or as a couple as all the facillities are of a very high standard." (108876202)

    The hotel is fitted out to a very high specification, very clean and facilities were excellent.

    Having younger children, the pool was an important reason for the booking, the leisure facilities appeared to be geared for private membership and not hotel guests with children, Private members clearly did not take kindly to children being in their pool! the times of entry into the pool and times to get out are all restricted, this was of great dissapointment as it felt more like being in a public swimming pool with a wrist band on. The restrictions on childrens entry to the pool is not publicised as part of booking the hotel and had it have been, then i would have considered other alternatives.

    after checking in late, we were hungry and the recepition offered to get us a takeaway in, which we took up the offer..a fantastic service, all staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble

    Clean and pleasant with nice cosy rooms.

    Breakfast was late making us late for our meeting. We were supposed to have eaten at 6.30 but at 6.50 only the food came out and still the toaster wasn't set up which then took another 5 minutes to heat up. Also we were told we could eat when we arrived at 9.30 and when we went into the restaurant we were told we had to order quickly as the kitchen was closing. Apart from the catering side of things and having trouble finding the place it was okay.

    Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

    The postcode in the conformation email is incorrect, check the hotel postcode on the main website if using satnav otherwise you will be completely in the wrong place!

    The bed was comforable

    Te check in process was terrible, and it took us nearly 40 mins standing in a check in queue. There was only three people in front of us. The staff were helpful but badly trained. There was no mini bar in the room, and the room itself was not properly cleaned before we arrived.

    very modern, clean hotel. Friendly staff, excellent service - ipod dock!

    standard double room was quite small with limited storage i.e. no wardrobe - hangers were in the main area in front of the mirror next to the bed.

    "the hotel was a very nice and the booking of the hotel was easy on line but i wasn't happy with the reception at hotel having no knowledge or booking for us even though we had the booking reference." (107598952)

    when we got to the hotel they had no knowledge of our booking and had no double beds left which is what we booked, though they did pust 2 single beds together which i though was very poor.

    Good shower Extended check out from 11am (!) to normal hotel check out time of 12noon

    In room I-Pod Docking station not working hotel wide Evening meal and breakfast had very poor buffet

    to many to list all so heres a few ..... bar staff very slow and would rather talk to each other than serve a customer the bar area was dirty sticky, breakfast wasnt out till 7.10am and it was cold very cold raw mushrooms and they still had the muck on them, the staff need some training on how to talk/look after the customers, its a over priced travel lodge type of hotel and ok for a night or two.

    "Very poor value for money. Wanted to stay somewhere a little more special than the travellodge - I certainly didn't feel as though my stay fulfilled this in any way and wish I'd paid less for a stay down the road! " (107300930)

    Room OK, shower good. Was clean and tidy, bed very comfortable. Didn't have time to use the leisure facilities which some people would probably regard as important.

    No wake up call which I arrnaged. Lousy breakfast service - lack of food ready too, no tea offered, despite request. Terrible TV reception. Meal out with staff very dissappointing for many of us, especially those of us having beef and Christmas pudding.

    "Hotel was very nice and modern, the room was smaller then expected, did request for an upgrade, but was falsly advidsed by a member of staff and was made to stay in the room that was given, even though i was prepared to pay the difference." (107320233)

    Hotel was very modern

    Experienced attitude and a negative vibe by a member of staff for no reason and therefore reflected badly on my stay at the Village Hotel.

    Although the room was tastefully decorated, l felt considering l had booked a superior suite it was very small and cramped. Also l was very surprised your hotel catered for football fans which made the bar area not very appealing.

    excellent clean and tidy place, rooms were fantastic

    We found we had to wait a long time for breakfast, and dissapointed that some of the food was cold, and the service just to get a cup of tea took a long time.
