    Staff tried hard to please - BUT!

    The internet description of the hotel was poor. If I had known about the type of hotel it was and the codition of the rooms etc - I would not have stayed there. Breakfast was passable

    very small shower room, the bar at the hotel was only open when we arrived it didnt open again.

    No-one answered front door when we arrived, instructions to ring bell for attention, bell broken. after 10mins or so went next door to grubby looking public house, landlady was sitting in there waiting for us..the pub smelt awful, si I new our room was also going to be awful, I wanted to leave there and then but new we would have been charged according to our paperwork (internet booking). Our chalet 'looked' quite pleasant but the bed cover was stained on top! The kettle was filthy on the outside (thick dust and grease). Toilet made a horrible 'filling the cistern' noise ALL night and the chair covers were very grubby looking

    The room was neat and clean, and the bed was well prepared. The room was not necessarily fancy - but it was good, clean and pleasant! Just what I needed!

    No draw backs.

    Very quiet location, very friendly staff,very large clean room with comfortable beds.Very handy for the ferry. Wonderful breakfast!

    "We will not go back. The bed was extremelly uncomfortable, the place seems quite run down. You get what you pay for!" (97597677)

    cheap, and near the ferry port we were travelling to.

    It was quite grubby and has a very tired decor. The door lock fell off and wasnt working properly. The breakfast was very greasy and seemed very cheap. The louge where we ate seemed dirty and there were lots of flies buzzing around. There was no real check out process. Presence of any staff was lacking. It was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in.
