    "Very good" (108477105)

    The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was quickly served and of very good quality.

    The shower was temperamental!!

    "We enjoyed our time in Carmarthen and used it as a base for seeing some of Pembrokeshire, but as it turned out it was really a bit far away and it would have been easier travelling by public transport if we had gone to Haverfordwest instead." (107976697)

    Hotel was in a central location. Staff were friendly and helpful

    Hotel a bit tired. I looked through the tourist books in the bedroom and threw away all the 2006 and 2007 booklets and left a few up to date ones.

    Breakfast was v.good

    N o top bedsheet. No evening meal slthough is advertised. Shower facilities poor. Poor ventilation although fortunately fan was provided

    Clean bed

    Breakfast was substandard. Basically the hotel was run down, and probabally on it's last legs.

    room was clean

    They didn't inform us that breakfast finished at 9am so when we check out at 10am the chef had already gone.

    Clean friendly & welcoming. Room tidy & felt comfortable.

    Room was too warm, & coming in the back entrance had to go through a long unlit area even though it was 1800hrs.

    Quick and easy check-in. No-nonsense renewal. Quiet (2nd Floor) though apparently 1st fl. may be noisy. Good solid breakfast, served promptly and flexibly - I needed it half an hour earlier than requested, but no problem. No starchy formality or unnecessary form-filling. Also a decent reduction for a single person even though it was a double room.Good real ale - Felinfoel.

    I had no problem with parking but I believe car parking might be a little fraught in busier times

    Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and ready when requested.

    On our last day there the halls smelled of cigarette smoke, despite the signs listing the hotel as smoke free. This was bothersome as I have asthma.

    Hotel was extremely quiet at nite. Staff moved me to another room at my request when I expressed concern about potential noise, which probably would not have been a problem as it turns out. Hotel pub was very pleasant -- staff very pleasant and helpful, customers intelligent and friendly.

    no shower, bath only. Breakfast suffers from being too heavy and large, however, coffee was served in an individual frenchpress, and was sufficiently strong and reasonably well roasted.
