    Natural courtesy of the staff. Cleanliness. Pleasant ambience in the restaurant.

    Decor of bedroom dated and spartan, no easy chairs, TV reception poor. Shower didn't work on our last morning but £10 was taken off our bill for the inconvenience. No details of local events, walks, things to do or maps available.

    Pleasant front desk staff.

    It needs upgrading to compete with current standards of accommodation. Having stayed here before I it was not my first choice.

    Lovely bloke called Damien working there, went out of his way to help us, nice friendly staff, good atmosphere, food looked lovely

    none really except the shower wasnt really up to much

    The room was not over warm and the bed was firm and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and considerate and I wasn't pestered by housekeeping to vacate my room in the morning.

    There was no lift and whilst it was good exercise to walk up to my room on the 2nd [3rd] floor, I'd have appreciated a lift for my luggage - though a staff member did offer to carry my case up for me!

    extremely clean bathroom ! I was really impressed, it was spotless ! well done ! very spacious room - it had the bedroom and living room with the TV, all the room was clean, central heating was working perfectly, there was coffee and tea provided in the room, everything was excellent and the location of the hotel is brilliant - close to the beach and not far from Liverpool city centre !

    "Hotel facilites were clean and adequate but generally in need of a little modernisation and redecoration. The room we were allocated looked like it had been recently decorated." (108902232)

    Room allocated was of good size, clean and comfortable. Good location - within walking distance of promenade, shops and the railway station.

    Breakfast on our first morning was not cooked to order - "hot-plate" food was of poor quality, cold, and little was left at 9:00am. Breakfast on other mornings was OK as it was cooked to order. Bedroom lighting was poor - one main light and only one other bedside light, nothing in seating area.

    the room itself was clean and tidy.

    they throw a party next to my room on saturday night, so it was hard to get any sleep. The bathroom is in need of renovation.

    Nice spacious room. Clean tidy and comfortable.

    Heating was on too high, asked someone to fix it. No one did. Resulted in an extermely warm and unpleasant night.

    "A comfortable and pleasant place to stay. No noise to disturb you at night. I would be happy to stay again but if I was staying any longer than a couple of nights there is insufficient space for clothes storage. Excellent value. " (107542038)

    A lovely, homely hotel which is full of character. Staff were very pleasant, friendly and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable although a little basic. Bathroom was bright and spotless with plenty of good quality towels.

    Bedroom was a bit basic but adequate. The wardrobe was old fashioned and was difficult to open and close. No clothes hooks in bedroom or bathroom (I suppose hanging clothes on the floor in the bathroom must be normal!). A few more hangers in wardrobe would be an advantage.

    restaurant and service excellent

    The room had central heating which did not work. It was acold day and had there not been a fan heater there it would have been freezing cold. There was a huge difference in the standards upstairs and down. Restaurant 9 from 10. Bedrooms 4 from 10

    Breakfast Gardens Short walk to the beach

    Distance of room from reception. Water pressure in bathroom. Damp smell in the hallway. The view (or lack of 1). Hotel in need of a definite refurb.
