    Location was excellent. Clean tidy well presented room. Helpful friendly staff. Good food

    The food in the restaurant was fabulous, my husband wanted to marry the chef!! The front of house staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool and jaccuzzi was most enjoyable.

    A couple of our rooms were above the bar and we could hear the noise of the coolers during the night. I couldn't find local channels on the tv.

    lovely outside surroundings,tasty breakfast,pleasant staff

    had booked a double, but got a twin room in the outside chalets, though this not specified on booking. Room in need of minor repairs & redecorating.

    "Good gym, good food, poor bedroom." (107319575)

    Spa is excellent, very good restaurant.

    Room is old, old tv set, shower did not operate properly in bathroom.

    "We booked with Active Hotels which gave us a much cheaper rate than booking directly through the Lodge website. We are planning to return as it's a good base for walking in the Brecon Beacons and we will definitely be recommending this place to our friends." (107611411)

    Dinner was delicious and high quality, service very friendly - anyone staying overnight automatically has a table reserved for them in the restaurant, which is useful because it's very popular! Plenty of choice at the buffet breakfast (cooked breakfast an optional extra). Rooms cosy and comfortable. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Check out is at 12pm so there is plenty of time to use the spa facilities and swimming pool.

    Because of the location, the shower water pressure is a bit weak but this is only a minor point.

    Lovely location

    No internet access or mobile phone coverage. Noisy at night due to very thin bedroom walls and creaky floor boards.

    "Lovely convenient location. Pool and spa very welcome. Evening food was fantastic both in terms of quality and value for money." (107557410)

    Food was excellent, service punctual and friendly.

    Only downside was the lack of fresh juice at the buffet breakfast - some form of orange squash - yuk!

    The Spa is great! Staff were friendly. Food was good.

    Didn't like the strong smell of the carpet cleaner in the room.

    very nice swimming pool Nice restaurant with good cuisine, which is not very frequent in UK !

    The food in the bistro was excellent. The size of the rooms was also very good with easy access to all the hotel facilities. The hotel is placed in a fantastic location in the Brecons too, some fantastic scenery.
