    the breakfast was excellent, and plentyfull.

    says a car park no there is not one, bar is not adequate no draught beer and is rarely used. £2. 50p for a can of beer and bottles. Was on top floor and had to walk 3 flights to get to the room.

    Staff polite and helpful, although our room was at the back of the hotel (near the kitchen) where staff would have a loud conversation outside early in the morning.

    Breakfast was badly cooked and for the price per night I feel this should have been perfect. Toiletries advertised in advert of hotel guide were half used bottles presumably left behind by other guests. Shower very poor.

    Dog occupied the saloon and made us move to one of our room for relaxing in the evening since it was impossible to get in contact with staff. Annonced bar was closed.

    Lovely room, friendly staff, near the town centre

    Hot water in en suite bathroom was so hot I burned my hand! We were in room 1 overlooking a courtyard and late in the evening someone was talking really loud on their mobile, people were going in and out of the door, and early morning too, so we didn't sleep very well. There weren't many parking spaces on the road outside, so we had to park a few roads away.

    Room was clean bright Staff generally friendly and helpful

    Breakfast service a bit hit and miss One day service fine and had breakfast within 15 minutes, but another day had to wait for 25 minutes before beening served or even being asked if we wanted tea!

    Good price room had comfy beds extra blankets and pillows a kettle hair dryer and iron no ironing board though plenty of plug sockets to charge 2 mobiles run a laptop (and charge over night) charge 2 sat navs and use portable DVD played

    Bedroom was freezing the room had single pain wood frame window the radiator did not work the wash sink was in the room not in the bathroom the door did not lock properly, the phone did not work and the alarm did not go off and the was no ironing board in the room cause the phone did not work I had to go to reception to use the phone at the reception desk to get night staff who assured me it was in the wardrobe went back to the room to find it was not so had to go back to reception to get one. The parking was a nightmare you have to park in a residential street and get a parking permit. On a weekend breakfast is between 8:30 and 9:30 and check out is at 10 so you cant sleep in you have an hour to eat & 30mins to get out provided they have not messed up your breakfast order which I was under the impression it was a buffet (as it states in the e-mail I received to confirm booking) but no you have to order it 3x it was wrong. And last but not least is states NO PETS good thing my sister or I are not allergic to dogs as there was one sleeping on the couch at the dinning room in the morning during breakfast. How they managed to get 4star is beyond me. Now I know why I got it for the price I did

    "The shower didnt work properly, the room was dhingey and needed redecorating, the floorboards were creaky and doors ill-fitting so we didnt get a great nights sleep as other guests walkin around could be heard and doord were loud." (107553600)

    Not bad location, reasonably comfy bed

    Not a hotel... 2 or 3 town houses joined together. Stale smoke everywhere. The breakfast was served 8.30 to 9.30, we went down at 9.25 and were told we were late and could only have toast and coffee.

    It's relativly cheap, but you can get cheaper places around Stansted. Food at the indian restaurant beside id okish

    it's fairly dirty, cold, and appliances in the room dont really work... litlle or no hot water... to turn off the light you have to get out of bed and hit the switch on the wall...

    Overall the hotel is excellent value for money. The breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel in ages.

    Hotel was very clean and tidy

    radiator in the room was very noisy throughout the night and on arrival, the receptionist was not very helpful and gave us rooms that were being used by someone else.

    Very, very cheap at £40 for the night, breakfast was nice, and the bed was really really comfy.

    I could not stand up in the "bathroom" due to sloped ceiling, and the decor was antiquated. The Australian/South African person who checked us in on Saturday was very difficult to understand. They then said "you're in room 10" but gave us no direction as where to go.

    Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee in room. Breakfast adequate. Location convenient for the Conference/Exhibition centre.

    Hotel description is "economical". Mentions private parking - yes for two cars, then its in the street outside. Says a quiet tree lined avenue - with cars parked on each side, there is only room for one car to pass, but its a two-way road! And its not that quiet! This is really just a B & B (charging hotel prices), but the photo on the website gives the impression of a larger property. Next time will stay at a proper hotel!

    Very clean and warm. Also near to the centre of Harrogate so we could leave the car at the hotel so no parking fees. The hotel give you a free permit to put in your car.

    Nicely furnished but very small attic room - no good for anyone with mobility problems. Toilet seat very loose and shower not very weak. Went into the bar for a drink - thick with smoke. When my husband said he thought smoking was banned the barman said he had let one of the guests smoke in the bar. There must have been about 40 cigarette ends in the ashtray.

    Shower/Bath was VERY temprimental, was either scolding hot or frezzing.

    Clean facilities, good range of toiletries and towels provided, good lighting at mirror. But most importantly a lovely comfy bed!

    Quite difficult to find due to a sharp bend in the road. More specific directions would be helpful on website.

    Friendly small hotel but general reception area not tidy or clean looking.

    Breakfast was good but inconsistent,staff could not cope with more than 1 order at a time.Would not accommodate early breakfast start, resulting in a few of us being late for conference starting or missing breakfast.Wifi was not working in the lounge.

    Staying here is like staying at someone's house - shower gel/body creams/soap etc all provided. Tea/coffee facilities in room - lots of drawers and mirrors, key provided for access after hours - nice dog ! Excellent location for Conference centre and central Harrogate. Excellent breakfasts !

    Quite steep stairs which can be difficult for older people or anyone with walking difficulties.

    Booking system fine.

    There was no off street parking and the road in front of the hotel has a regular weekend spate of vandalism to parked cars. My vehicle had the front passenger window smashed in. Mine was not the only vehicle to be dammaged by the same drunken young person. This completely ruined our stay and the hotel staff were not at all helpful.

    Good Location to the Wedding Venue

    The rooms were not ready for the 12 check In. The staff were doing up the room while I was getting changed for the Wedding. Breakfast was for only 30 minutes from 8 30 till 9 needed to have a longer time period and later as missed breakfast was never advised of staff of Breakfast time. The cleaners and Breakfast staff had a poor understanding of English and could not answer queries
