  Very friendly staff. Good parking.

  Further from main town than indicated. It was more than a 'short walk' (web) and took about 20 minutes uphill. A Continental breakfast should not be just toast. It normally consists of croissants or small rolls - none of these were available - just some toast. The main point is that we looked forward (from the web 'Savanna' restaurant menu) to eating in once or twice or more. We had no prior notification that the restaurant was closed for evening meals and this forced us up to town - which did have good restaurants. Surely a temporary chef could have been hired?

  "Overall, staff were pleasant and helpful." (107343421)

  Easy access to bedroom with luggage, the room being off a small courtyard. Nice bar with outdoor seating also. Restaurant very pleasant. Whilst weather was very hot at the time of my stay, the bedroom was pleasantly cool.

  Shower was electric variety (which never supply powerful flow of water). Some of the nozzles were blocked and probably needed some maintenance.

  "I will be visiting St Albans every week for the next year. I can see no point in considering staying anywhere else" (107248436)

  Exception quality and value for money. The room was modern and spotless, and the location quite lovely. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. First class.

  "Very pleasant hotel very quiet no loud music etc. and apart from couple of hic-coughs would probably stay again if in area." (107375640)

  restuarant and bar staff very efficient and helpfull. Food very good shame nothing available in room or before 7pm on Saturday in bar.

  Radiator in room very noisey. Had to find somebody to check us in when we arrived as nobody on reception. Also when we returned from functionon Saturday night at about 11 the car park was full and we had to park elsewhere.

  Clean, friendly staff, very relaxed atmosphere

  Small room, quite noisey

  Very helpful friendly staff

  No room in the restuarant for a meal, would have been good to have been advised to do this as we did not arrive until 8.45pm and I had to be up at 5.00am for a triathlon we would have booked had we have known as looking for an alternative made everything a little late

  "Adequate " (107982814)

  Reception & bar area very well decorated and staff pleasant and friendly, room very clean but see below, and difficult to get t o with cases(stairs & fire doors)

  Room not ready despite requesting early check in,room disappointing, shabby and old fashioned, no bisciuts & limited comp drinks. Bill incorrect overcharged for drinks in the bar.
