  nicely furnished

  basement room with no natural light to speak of and a view of noisy aircon piping, wardrobe door didn't open far because it hit the desk, should be advised when booking that the basement rooms are so confining.

  Good location for sightseeing and subway travel

  Thought the room was of good quality, did not enjoy staying in a downstairs room.

  "This was not the stay we planned for our client. Aware that all of the above is beyond Active Hotels remit. The general level of service from the hotel was way below standard. Essentially, we have been charged for a product that was not delivered. We have requsted contact from the duty manager... Not surprised that they have not returned our call." (107307044)

  - We specifically asked for payment to be taken from the card used to make the reservation,however, our CLIENT was presented with hotel bill, no effort was made to fulfil this request and when queried we were told "the system was down" - our client was also TRANSFERED to another hotel ? No effort was made to warn us of this transfer and when queried we were told that the "boiler was broken" - we booked a Club room for our client... none of the extras were supplied with the room eg: no wine, robes, slippers, cookies, flowers etc - essentially our client was supplied with a standard room with TV and some fruit. When queried we were again told that the "system was down".

  brilliant service, very clean and tidy

  rooms very small, not big enough for two people, view was awful

  "Would have been very happy without the noise, but would only stay on business - room too claustrophobic/gloomy for a holiday hotel." (107964990)

  Well presented room, spotless and recently decorated, lovely shower.

  "Deluxe double" was in fact tiny (fine for me on my own, but two people could not have got dressed at the same time without some serious choreography) and window looked out onto a 15 foot square shaft at the back of the building full of ventilation ducts so non stop noise night and day.

  "Just what I was looking for" (107800123)

  Great location, very clean room and well equipped, friendly staff, excellent value for money

  tv system doesn't work that well (lots of pixilation): but I don't stay in hotels to watch tv, so not a real problem

  "Good and luckily we had a great rate for the hotel - which was upgraded to a club room - as we had our fines to pay !!!!" (107305359)

  QUick efficeint service at Active Hotel Booling on telephone. Fast checkin / check out.

  Parking ticket whilst dropping one bag off as we checkid in. No parking nearby

  "Too far from city centre for my business needs - awkward to get to by anything other than cab when staying for short time. No place to eat in the evening in the hotel a real negative, need to have that flagged up on web site." (107692892)

  Room very clean; bathroom spotless; hotel newly done out, therefore everything clean and 'not used'. Staff attentive.

  Room very tiny, certainly not large enough for a couple, not even large enough for one person! No dining facilities, this was not obvious when booking and as a single female, arriving late,(and cold, wet and tired) in London, I do not want to have to go out and find somewhere to eat - so no dinner on the night. TV had exceptionally pooor reception and no reception at all for mobile phone. Had to pay a mandatory 'refundable'

  place was small but that's always the case in london. It was very quiet and very clean. All amenities are very modern.
