    Room v. clean and comfortable. Staff v. friendly and helpful. Attached to a pub serving food and near to other eating facilities. Very good value.

    None really. It would have been nice to be able to obtain breakfast after 9.0 am.

    staff were polite and helpful, parking was good and hotel was easy to find.

    shower was grotty, the toilet leaked, lighting in the room and bathroom was inadequate, bedding was tatty and uncomfortable.The room just looked like it was thrown together with random decor (different cushions, electrical points, etc)

    "Glad I was only staying overnight, otherwise I would have gone to another hotel. Paid £39 for a twin room (special offer) glad I did not pay more as I feel that this was overpriced for what was available. Staff were friendly, but the building lets them down. Had the feeling that the housekeepers do just the minimum in the rooms. " (108775892)

    Easy to find, selection of fast food takeaways close by. Powerful and hot shower.

    Building in need of major refurbishment / redevelopment. The room was small but adequate for an overnight stay. Bathroom had a lot of mould, extractor fan was covered in a thick layer dust. Bathroom flooded when shower was used. TV and bedroom furniture had several days worth of dust on them.

    "we really enjoyed our three nights, the location suited our purpose perfectly,-to visit very near family and friends.the morning breakfast was very good and much cheaper booking at the Hotel" (108362499)

    The room was excellent, very clean, towels changed every day, there was even a fan in the room which was very welcome.

    my wife and I are disabled and the twin room was on the ground floor,-- but some way around the corridor, but we managed , and it was no big deal/

    "Served us well for an overnight stay near to Tram stop for going into Manchester and cricket Ground.Easy to find from motor way M6.Although we had to use the pub next door for food it was good a very well priced.Breakfast was basic but good." (107448573)

    "Please see above and the Receptionist and Housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful and kindly allowed me to stay a little longer than 11 am as I was on my way to a funeral. " (107514100)

    The room was clean and comfortable and I especially appreciated the fact that you provided a fan as it was very hot and for security reasons the window could not be opened wider which I quite understood. The fan made all the difference.

    "i did not enjoy the hotel as i did not feel welcome enough and the staff decided hoovering at 8 oclock was a good idea!! i was not offered the breakfast and did not no about it until i checked out either!! i am extremely unhappy with the service i got and was not happy with the room and the staff!!     the room was cosy enough for the 2 of us

    the bathroom was very small the room was very hot through out the night and uncomfortable! the tele wasnt working properly the staff were not very friendly the staff started hoovering at 8 in the morning waking me nd my boyfriend up which was not fair

    Comfortable room, evening meals in attached pub very good value.

    No choice at breakfast. About three weeks before arriving the Hotel took the total cost of the stay (2 nights) from my credit card but two days later refunded one night. On arrival asked for the full ammount but relented without argument when shown credit card statement. What would have happened if I had not seen statement and taken it with me?

    Clean comfortable refurbushed, good bathrooms facilities. Nice park opposite, choice of food outlets nearby.

    Not enough ventilation. Would have liked to have opened a bigger window. The fan helped. No iron or hair dryer in room, but probably could be accessed from reception. Not sure how we would have got out if there had been a fire on our corridor as no way the window would open, but all the fire dorrs worked wel.

    room tired, shower leaked, overpowering smell of air freshener, eveing meal impossible to order as restaurant overrun with football fans watching TV and staff preooocpied with glass collection and seving 'fans', breakfast and what there was of it (no cereals/fruit juice etc) was dreadful/cold and this after a 20 minute wait in an almost empty dining area.

    We would prefer some rooms to have a bath as my partner suffers with a back problem so moving in a small shower was a little awkward

    the room was warm

    when booking in the young girl behind the desk was scrufy not in uniform or smart outfit the room smelt of smoke we (are non smokers) plug in air freshener on full which we turned off when we found one towel in bathroom had to get dressed agin and go to recp to get more one milk on tray had to get dressed ( AGAIN) to go to reception to ask for more the shower was dirty i had to clean it before i could have a shower the bed cloths were not fresh they had hairs all over them the duvet was that thin you could nearly see through it the pub linked to the hotel did not open the next day for breakfast ( we did not find this out until we got to the pub door and could not open it)

    Bedding was clean and fresh

    Room carpet was not clean, something very basic like just hoovering the floor Bathroom was also not very clean, visible dust in some areas and also mould in the bathroom, which can be cleaned with something as basic as bleach.

    "For an overnight "somewhere to put my head" stay I would consider using Altrincham Lodge again. However, for a longer stay I think I would probably look elsewhere." (107751653)

    The Manager who covered on reception was very, very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Found the bed comfortable and the room clean and tidy.

    The shower was far too small. At one point I leaned forward to wash the shampoo out of my hair and hit my head on the soap holder. In general, the shower could have used a thorough cleaning as there was mold on the tiles.

    "the room was ok for our overnight transit stay. Full English breakfast was fine, better than usual sausage and you could help yourself to more coffee or tea, and make your own toast.     Hotel was awful. Arrived and checked into room and left within 3mins, room was dingy, pokey and bedding was crushed. Was only expecting basics but could not stay there. Also for smokers you must sign a diclosure that you will not smoke or they fine you

    "Overall very good. I did not use the restaurant as breakfast was early (later at weekends though) but I was pleased to see a vegetarian option on the breakfast menu." (108055371)

    Bedroom very clean. Check in easy and staff friendly and helpful.

    The room was very hot and only had a very small window which, for safety reasons, only opened a small way, though a fan was provided. The shower cubicle was not as clean as it could have been with orange and black mould in evidence.
