    Good pick up service at the airport. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

    Some details – no reading lamps at the beds, no holder/dispenser for toilet paper in the bathrooms.

    As Mother & Daughter taking my son back to the airport for his return trip to Australia, we had booked into The Stansted Airport Lodge. On arrival we were told it was overbooked & we had been transfered to DeSires Hotel. Lovely place, clean n comfortable. Although next to the airport, it was very quiet.

    Ist class building

    No water in shower, no receipt only till receipt for card. Rang courtesy bus for 1/2 an hour, no one would answer, had to pay for a taxi although had paid extra for bus and parking.

    reliable transfers to /from airport, room clean and bed comfortable, very early breakfast from 4am ideal for early start

    bit noisy through the night with people arriving, collecting cars etc wee bit hard to find the hotel...suggest a bigger sign near the road

    Bathroom reeked of mould. No telephone in room. self-service continental breakfast a bit spartan, to say the least. TV reception a bit dodgey.

    Clean and good working order, efficient pick up and drop off from airport.

    Reception verging on unfriendly - No on suite facilities wc/shower, no refreshments available, breakfast was apalling (warm fruit juice, Warm UHT Milk,warm water, minimal selection. Charged for trip to airport, only £3 but advertised as free.

    I was driven in another hotel than written on my confirmation sheet, this fact was not mentioned on the website (why?). Why is the website/ hotel list not up-to -date?

    -The Breakfast was set out in the morning and ready -The room was and bed comfortable; which, was really the only thing I was interested in because I had to wake up early the next day

    The staff wasn't available in the morning so at first I didn't know if that breakfast food was actually for me to eat, I had to be changed into a different room because they put me in the wrong one first, and the shower head is facing outside so I had to take a bath instead I wasn't pleased with that.

    Large clean room, effecient service, good breakfast.

    Location. I arrived after midnight by taxi from airport at Stansted Airport Lodge, as booked, only to find I was at the wrong place; waited for transport to take me to DeSalis, near Elsenham. This complicated my appointment next morning in Bishops Stortford.

    Very friendly staff, new, fresh, clean. The pick up at Stanstead worked well as did as the transport there the following morning.

    Since it must have been recently renouvated some things were missing as somewhere to hang my coat. I couldn't find any fire/ emergency instructions.

    room was clean - brand new

    no name on hotel, difficult to find, hotel not even finished. room very sparse, no bedside cabinets yet, no wardrobe door. no dining room, continental breakfast delivered to room, had to sit on bed to eat it. no shower rail or curtain but we went out early evening for a meal and when we came back on had been hurriedly put up.

    Very clean - the Lodge has only been open for three weeks. The only member of staff on duty there could not have been more helpful - very kind and considerate of a lone lady traveller. He even brought a substantial continental breakfast at 0410 before I left for the airport. Parking for five days was provided free of charge and also transport to and from the airport.

    The Lodge is impossible to find. It is affiliated to another hotel and for some inexplicable reason, the owner will not put up a hotel sign. Sat Nav could not find it as the post code did not match the street name. I telephoned the number provided and was connected to the other hotel but the staff could not give me directions except to tell me to look for a driveway with a caravan in it. As there was a guest house nearby which also had a caravan in the drive, this was not much help. Eventually, I waited at a pub and the hotel sent someone to guide me. Active Hotels should inform potential guests of these circumstances and also that there is no restaurant and no bar at the Lodge. The rain was torrential the evening I stayed and I was not pleased to have to go out again.

    was moved to a different hotel in teh same chain (De Salis) as the first hotel was not 'ready'.. this other hotel was difficult to find
