  "Very high quality hotel with very professional staff, a little on the pricy side for food, but all meals were of the highest quality." (108574583)

  Overall quality of finish and first class attitude of staff made this hotel a real joy to stay at.

  Check in desk had no record of the booking, and had to make a call to booking agent to confirm, all was fine but slightly worrying after a 3 hour drive. All things considered the staff were very professional at all times.

  "Disappoint due to the accomodation" (108850948)

  The hotel staff were as helpful as they could be when they found that are reservation was not on their system, so in effect we didn't exist.

  When I received a booking confirmation I thought this meant that a reservation had been made for us. I was unhappy to find that the htel did not have a booking for us and further upset when they could only offer us a double bed (I was travelling with a femail friend that I have only known for a few weeks). The hotel did make up a sofa bed in the room, but this was a very expensive stay to sleep on a sofa.

  Overall a reasonably good hotel

  Didnt like the service charge would much rather leave a tip should never be used at a bar unless the staff have sericed you at a table would ask for removal of this charge on future stays.

  "Excellent would recommend if visiting NEC, as hotel is in the grounds." (107510654)

  Very clean room and comfortable bed. Modern bright hotel.

  Bar bill for items not had on checking out. Bar staff failed to check signatures. Quickly removed from bill after pointing this out.

  The desk lamp was removed from my room without any explanatrion. When I phoned reception to enquire I was toold that they had been taken out of every room. When asked why a note was not left on the table I got a feeble 'sorry'. A business associate who I had booked in was also about to phone reception when I told him that he was not alone. When asked if I could be supplied wityh a replacement the answer was No. I then had to unplug the bedside light and move that to the desk. Firstly the management should have left a note and secondly they should have suggested using the bedlight.

  when we came back from the concert we had just seen there was not enough seats to sit down and have a drink in comfort and we ended up having drinks in the reception which was quite draughty with the doors opening and closing!

  "Would stay again - but try and eat elsewhere and continue to use 3G card in PC for IT rather than hotel facilities." (107823530)

  "very bad experience - first time in a crown plaze - never again" (107491417)

  wine was o.k. good hairdryer.

  husband and myself. arrived 10.00 pm room not ready, receptions suggested we go for a drink and return later!! only one bathrobe in room for two! coffee and tea - vile. probably the worst bed we have ever had to sleep in.

  "Food and drink very expensive. Would stay again - good proximity to NEC but would eat out." (97554083)

  Good situation of hotel. Good facilities

  Bar very expensive. Very poor evening meal - spatchcock chicken was a disgrace. Better chicken portion in Kentucky Fried Chicken. Complaint made.

  "Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Ideal location for NEC" (99291799)

  Very comfortable Friendly, helpful & efficient staff. Beautiful location by the lake.
