    "The room was clean and serviceable, shower room was in need of some TLC but useable, so now issues and Shrewsbury is a good town to meet up with friends" (108501558)

    Easy to find , very close to the town without the noise of being in the town. For the price it's difficult to fault

    Very strong smell of cigarette smoke in the reception which was off-putting but as soon as you are out of that area it's OK.

    Small dark bedroom with barred window. Room heating not working. Mirror light over sink hanging off and not worling. Shower out of order. Toilet cistern not flushing, No soap nor towel in shared toilet. Grubby light pull in toilet shower room. Gaps under bedroom door for smoke to enter if a fire. Grubby expirience.

    The staff were friendly, pleasant and courteous.

    1.The shower head was in need of descaling. 2.The lid of the toilet cistern has to be lifted off to allow a full flush as the fixtures are fitted incorrectly. 3.Breakfast would have been better served on a hot plate. Its presentation was spoiled by an excess of tinned tomato juice(a fresh tomato halved and grilled would have been better). 4. Bulb missing from bedside lamp.

    Spacious Room, Clean & Tidy, Helpful Staff, Handy printout with local info left in room, Very reasonably priced.

    Very Hard Bed, Small Breakfast (1 Egg, 1 Sausage, 1 Rasher of Bacon and 1 spoonful of beans for £5 extra per person!).

    4-6pm check-in so later arrival caused staffing problems No staff appeared to be on site after 6pm so internet bookings need to telephone and confirm personally as later evening arrival requests are accepted on the net. A bit of difficulty finding no.68 as did not know area

    arrived at the hotel after attending a friends christening and after meal got to hotel to check in at 7pm only to find no one there had to call to be informed that i should have checked in before 6pm explained i was not told this and was told to go round the back as the key had been left on a shelf behind the curtain the room was tidy but not very clean there were tea/coffee facilities if you can call it that a saucer with no cup or spoon tea and coffee with no milk and the room had a musty smell when i left the following morning again could not find any staff so had to leaf the key on the table certainly would not choose this hotel my friends stayed in another hotel close buy for an extra £5.00 and got a full english breakfast there rooms were loverly and the staff very friendly

    Room very old and tired. Radiator not working properly, too hot and could not turn thermostat down.

    Got put in a double room at no extra cost and the stated shared bathroom turned out to be only a shared toilet - shower and sink in the room which was good.

    Kettle in room was not working.

    Good size room.

    Shower had 2 temperatures - freezing cold and boiling hot. Reception/office was extremley untidy. Bed was close to falling apart, had already been repaired badly with a plank of wood. Old, tired, badly decorated rooms. Bathroom contained mould and rot, electric toilet shook the whole rooom when chain was flushed.

    "We spent very little time at the guest house and it was literally a place to sleep but our room had all the facilities we required and it was a good budget choice. However my friends room was very much smaller and did not have a toilet in the en suite and she paid the same price as us. I would stay in my room again (10) but perhaps be hesitant if I had to stay in a different room. I did not try the breakfast so I cant comment on it. " (108013040)

    Our room was clean and the bed was a comfy four-poster! We had a tv and drink making facilities and a en suite bathroom with shower. The room was large and spacious with plenty of room to keep clothes etc had our stay been longer. It was also in a good location close to the town centre of Shrewsbury. The staff member that was there was friendly and helpful. Parking is included in the price.

    The guest house is in need of updating-the shower was quite old and was hard to get the right temperature. My friends room was not as clean as ours as there were marks on the blankets and the cups were dirty.

    on arrival, no staff for check in. We let another guest in and had to phone to check ourselves and the otherguest. Would not reccommend or stay there again. Shared bathroom not clean, would not take a shower! Over-priced for very poor facility.
