  the mews fitted our needs perfectly. the apartment was nicely furnished and was cleanly. the staff were very courteous. it was also in a good location to see the sights of Wells.

  only minor gripe was the walk from the hotel to the mews as we had quite a lot of baggage and it was raining!

  "The breakfast was unsatisfactory (not up to motorway services standard) & poor value for money (this wasn't included in booking price). We would have felt far less annoyed had the room been pre-heated. Apart from this the venue suited our needs." (107722124)

  We were staying in the Swan Mews which was generally comfortable for a couple of nights. Central location of the hotel, clean & generally well equipt for a short break. We liked the atmosphere of the hotel itself.

  We arrived on a bitterly cold afternoon in December. No-one had turned on the heating in our apartment- the thermostat was set to zero and the flat was consequently freezing taking over 3hrs to reach an acceptable temperature. We thought this was extremely inconsiderate. Some of the fixtures & fittings were sub-standard (yale latch to street access & front door - which had obviously been forced, taps in en-suite double bedroom very lose, & twin bedroom door handle extremely stiff). The one cooked breakfast we had was extremely disappointing as we had to wait 30 minutes & then received fried eggs that had been hard boiled in oil but white of egg was rubbery. The remainder of the food had clearly been sitting under a hot plate waiting for a considerable time.

  "had booked to stay in a different apartment but it wasnt available when we arrived. was offered alternate option, but had wanted 2 rooms upstairs for our very young child to be nearby, but overall very happy with hotel and staff and the general friendliness of the place" (107267730)

  apartment clean, plenty of towels and arrived to find complimentary tea/coffee etc.

  apartment not young child friendly, no highchair etc. a very adult place to stay in.
