    The room was lovely and very well equiped with fridge, hairdryer,kettle etc.,modern furniture and comfortable beds. Staff were generally considerate and heplful apart from our first evening where the young lady could not have cared less about serving us. However the young waiter who came on duty was wonderful which made up for the initial dissapointment in staff attention.

    The food was not so good. We had one evening meal which was rather overcooked, uninteresting and overpriced, two good breakfasts and one dreadful breakfast of scrambled egg swimming in water on a gigantic plate with a couple of bits of overcooked bacon. Uneadible and one of the worst breakfasts I have ever had in my life. The wardrobe facilities were unsuitable for shorter or even average people. This would have suited those who are seven foot tall, for hanging rail height. The bathroom could have done with beng a bit warmer in the mornings. There appeared to be no heating there. The bath was difficult to get in and out of even if you were of average height.

    Very nicely furnished room with very adequate balcony. Food in restaurant very good at night.

    Breakfast fine if ordering hot food but inadequte continental breakfast, for example ran out of butter which is a basic food. We were told the day before we were due to leave that we could have a complimentary dinner in hotel as we had stayed for a week which was too short notice.

    The hotel looked as if it had been recently refurbished to a very high standard, the bedrooms were extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated.The Piano restaurant had a wonderful view over the sea and an extensive menu.All meals were excellent and the service good.

    Perfect for short break. Facilities, food, room, staff, all excellent!!

    Slightly disappointed at not been given the menu at breakfast time, as the receptionist (after we'd eaten) and my daughter, who had previously stayed, told us,the french toast was exquisite.

    Lovely staff,very comfortable,clean and high class hotel. Excellent food.Good piano player and live band.

    Pillows too high-but on enquiring staff said that there were others available.

    Very comfortable bed, good quality sheets, good reception staff, easy to book, easy to find, good breakfast.

    Noisy room above a bar (was not aware of this when I booked) and the room is very dark

    "Had found it difficult to get a room around the Portrush area, but saw the excellent review for this hotel on Trip Advisor. It was more expensive than I was wanting to pay, but it was a lovely place to stay and would love to return sometime with my husband. " (107244563)

    The room was beautifully decorated with everything you could wish for. The breakfast was delicious.

    We seemed to be directly over the 'entertainment', so it was quite noisy. On checking in, my friend and I got the impression the receptionist thought we were lesbians, but a double room was all that was left!

    The York is a lovely hotel and the views are beautiful. Room was clean and spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast was delicious. We would love to stay again!

    This is one of the nicest hotels in which we have stayed. The room (#5)is beautiful, although not for the view; the food is delicious and plentiful with a lovely dining room; the ground floor bar is welcoming; the staff are pleasant and helpful.

    Water pressure in the shower is low and somewhere to hang used towels would be useful. A little way out of the town centre.
