    "It was a very nice, however brief experience. We hope to have some time in the summer for sight seeing." (108427704)

    The staff was EXTREMELY positive/friendly, so much that the fact that the heaters in the room were not working properly totally slipped our minds in breakfast. Also, the overall sound proofing both inside the room and the hotel was positively amazing.

    The heating in the room was not working as stated above.

    Staff really friendly. Food in the bar was excellent as was the breakfast

    Staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. Evening meal was good.

    No tea, coffee, sugar or milk in the room on arrival. The room had not been vacumed and was very dusty. Lovely big flat screen T.V but could only access three channels.

    Everything was good at this hotel, the people were very friendly and welcoming and the room was exceptional.

    Very spacious, cosy and clean suite for 4. Good food also. Too bad we stayed only overnight, the place deserves a longer stay.

    Nice comfortable bed, generally clean and modern room. Tidy and well-equipped bathroom. Good service at breakfast and nice food on offer. Friendly staff.

    There were a lot of flies in the room at arrival which were unpleasant to get rid of. Check-in process was slow due to having to wait at the bar quite a long time before being acknowledged. No offer of toast with breakfast.

    rooms were very good clean and roomy everything you would need for your stay

    not enough coffee , milk and suger left in your room for you if two people stayed in room you only got 2 milk if you had a drink on night then you had none for morning.

    Booking in staff, staff at dinner and breakfast are excellent, they make you feel very welcome and will help you in every way they can. Family Bedroom was fantastic, large TV, beds and pillows were 1st class, very clean, large bathroom, brilliant bedroom views and private. Food - breakfast was good and eating in the pub or restaurant was fantastic service and lovely food, good choice and staff very helpfull. On a Friday, Saturday and Sunday this pub is very busy and has a mixture of all ages from young couples, children and famiiles and older couples. The outside wooden play area is a dream for the children and hard work to get them off it.

    Maybe a few more hangers for the family room and a shower curtain so the floor doesn't become a swimming pool.

    Friendly, helpful management & staff; brand new hotel rooms (June '08), well designed & constructed. Good 'food pub', reasonable range of beers & wines.

    1. Inability to reserve (on line) a table for a large lunch booking. From overseas, I had to e mail a friend in UK to find the hotel's phone number (not given on your website) in order to book a large lunch table to coincide with the room booking. Very time consuming & frustrating. 2.English breakfast was assumed to be the ONLY requirement. For continental visitors, yoghurt, fruit (eventually produced) & cheese would be appreciated and would be more cost effective for the hotel. 3. Bedroom doors have self-closing mechanisms, which are VERY noisy. Were woken up frequently when someone banged doors shut along the corridor. 4. Would like to have had more fish options on the menu.

    Allocated superior room for standard room rate!. Good menu with 'special' promotions most nights. Quiet even though it is situated just off the A303.

    Breakfast service was a bit slow.

    The service and the food was top class. The staff were excellent, as I'm disabled they were very helpful.

    Not reall a bad point but as I'm disabled I couldn't lift my feet high enough to use the shower and the bed was very high.
