    Ease of access and proximity to the town and coastline.

    The pork sausages at breakfast were of dubious quality: a very high rusk content. The bathroom facilities require some modernisation. Hen nights were very noisy and disturbed a number of guests.

    The Laguna hotel is excellent with its variety of things to do and where it is located. There is a lovely walk to the town centre.

    Fire alarm going off at 8.30am in the morning!!

    "Room cost include breakfast that was reasonable and the service was good overall. Room needs updating and was very small, but it was clean. TV was small,with only 4 channels but may be better without one unless the noise is kept down for other guests comfort after 11:30pm." (108640845)

    Rooms clean, staff efficient, pool looked good as did the outdoor play area for children.

    Room was small, shower was old and hard to use. There was no hairdryer or shampoo etc and decor was outdated-Double bed in room and not much space, and any noise from the stairway and next rooms was easily heard.

    the good points of the hotel was the swimming pool which was good

    The bad points was the bathroom. the shower did"nt worh properly you would have burnt yourself. the water was so hot.and you could"nt ajust it. the toilet didnot work properly.we conplained but it was"nt fixed.we stayed for three nights so was"nt best pleased.

    Breakfast was alright

    Noisy throughout night outside our room in the corridor with people shouting continually including someone shouting and swearing at 0430 in the morning outside our door Fire alarm activated twice at 0500 and 0530 sunday morning. When leaving room the smell of cigarettes was strong but member of staff wandering about was not prepared to knock on any doors to stop this Bathroom shower was not fixed to wall with no shower curtain No remote control for television Parking spaces were limited

    Staff friendly & helpful. Great location 5 mins walk from all the action & shops

    Breakfast a bit small, but then again i'm a gutty git anyway.

    Decent location and facilities. Cark Park and helpful staff.

    Room dirty, old fashioned and extremely warm. All facilities in the bathroom would have shamed a 1970s student bedsit.

    swimming pool very good, overall friendliness of staff also very helpful. easy walking distance to town and beach.

    bed was very uncomfortable, shower was hanging off the wall, although was rectified very quickly, also very noisy as with the warm weather had to sleep with the window open. some of the younger guests very inconsiderate in our opinion as there were rather a lot of senior citizens staying at the time. also smokers outside and underneath our window (room 37) so every time someone was smoking we had a horrible smell in our room as we are non smokers.

    The staff at reception & waiting at breakfast were incredibly efficient, friendly & helpful. The hotel was handy for the town centre though still in a lovely quiet area. The pool looked lovely though we didn't have chance to use it.

    The car park was full so we had to park outside the holiday apartments, which was fine apart from discovering chewing gum & half a cigarette on the roof the next morning.

    close to friends rooms

    room was very tiny and cramped, the room had a dirty musty smell. We had a tiny mirror to use, and 2 plug sockets which were i the middle of the room. The shower was broken so just hung in the bath. The bed was hard and lumpy as were the pillows. No quilts were provided instead we had itchy blankets.

    Staff exceptionally polite and helpful.

    The hotel is in need of the Hotel Inspector from the TV series to visit. There was hair in the plug hole of the bath and sink....a big no no - I puled it out and flushed it down the loo. There was a buscuit wrapper on the floor by the bed. The glass in the bathroom window was clear but covered with a net curtain. This is fine in the day but not at night. The fixtures and fittings within the room were old and tired, not ideal for a business traveller. Breakfast was good food was fine though it was odd that the conserve was presented in an ice cream dish and not those little portion pots you get and the same with the sugar. The coffee pots were of the old type that dribble no matter how you try and pour them....again service was excellent.

    Comfortable beds, good size twin room

    Dirty carpets in bedroom and bathroom. Bath with shower head but no hook so had to be handheld. Very dated decor which is acceptable if clean but this room was not. Hotel looked very 'tired' and in need of refurbishment. Asked for poached egg and toast at breakfast, was given scrambled egg which was introduced as a boiled egg when he handed it to me! Waiter's English was not very good. Only one slice of very soggy toast with egg which was pale and tasteless. All in all, breakfast was a poor show.

    Cheap and cheerful for a one night stay. Breakfast was good, staff really friendly & helpful. Close to town - walk under 5 minutes.

    Lots of noise - banging doors/screaming child from early hours of the morning. No shower curtain and poor bathroom facilities.

    Large car park - but full of Laguna Holiday coaches!

    Hotel described as having 50 rooms. In reality it is a complex comprising the hotel and annexes and I would estimate has probably 150 rooms. The Laguna is part of a holiday company specialising in Coach holidays mainly for older couples, so there is a lot of coming and going and the evening entertainment seems to be geared to the "tea dance" style of activity. At the other end of the spectrum the hotel also welcomes stag/hen parties. If you do not fit into either of these categories, stay well clear. We checked out after one night (we had booked for three). Our room was not clean and the annex (Copper beeches) smelled "musty". To be fair, the hotel did not charge us for the one night we stayed (we arrived at 10pm, so it was too late to complain that evening). Breakfast was "measured". For example the friut juice was served to us in a glass little bigger than a shot glass. Full English breakfast was served on a small plate to make it look bigger.

    cheap to stay there. drinks in the bar were a good price some of the bar staff were friendly and polite.

    The hotel was extremely dated and old fashioned. When waiting for assistaince at the hotel reception we had to wait ages. the bar was supposed to be 24hour bar but it never seemed to be open and when we asked the staff there if they could open the bar They refused and were very rude about this. One member of staff there was most rude whilst we were trying to get assistance at the reception he silenced the attention bell and did not attend to us for about 30 mins.

    entertainment in the bar was very good, the staff were very friendly.

    room was very small, only just enough room to sit on the loo! Our stay was ruined on the last night by some drunk people in the next room to us, who came in at 4am, and proceeded to slam the door constantly as they charged in and out until they finally stopped around 8am!

    None really - check in lady was very friendly.

    It was like you had stepped back 50 years in time! The hotel was shabby, old and dirty. I would not recommend that anyone stays in this hotel.

    hotel was fairly old and quaint but served a purpose for somewhere to put our head down after a night out.

    not many, breakfast staff were very polite

    one of the worst breakfasts I've had, noisy person banging on door constantly for an hour at 3 in morning to be let in somewhere in hotel woke the whole hotel up but no one from staff sorted him out.

    Kind of low cost feeling, room doors are very close to each other causing guests troubling each other in certain situations.Could hear people on the above floor walking.....
