    The evening meal was excellent quality and value. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. An ideal place to relax.

    Very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Very quiet location. Plenty to do in the area. Fruit selection at meals was excellent

    Poor vegetable cooking at meals. Too much variety not enough quality. Roast potatoes particularly bad. Placing meat slices on top of roast potatoes makes them soggy.

    Good sized room with comfortable furnishings and nice view. Bathroom well stocked with very good quality towels and consumables. Staff friendly and efficient. Nice to have a personal welcome from the owner. Lots of info on places of interest and local walks

    Only one poor aspect was the feeble flow of water from the shower. We should have raised it the time but did not want to sour what was otherwise an excellent experience.

    The hotel was extremely clean and well presented. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help as much as possible. We felt extremely comfortable and would definitely go back to stay again. The food was also excellent.

    Room was excellent, Breakfast was the best I have had from any hotel/B&B. Tip-Don't wear jeans to a posh hotel, felt slighty out of place, we will dress the part next time. I thought £122.00 was a little high for a one night stay, but can’t complain about the service.

    General ambiance of Hotel excellent. Location for surrounding area ideal. Choice and quality of food first rate. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience

    Dinner orders close around 8.15 pm which is a little early.

    Wonderful ownership and staff. Old fashioned service, gracious property and ownership, who pays attention to details. Very comfortable there.

    Not much bad to report. Pull chain light in the en suite. A little hard to find, just be careful with the directions. Well worth finding.

    The hotel and particularly Tim, Sue and their staff, is wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble for their guests, food is exceptional, views are fantastic.

    "There was a slight problem over our internet booking which was recognised and put right without any request to do so from us - the result was positive from start to finish. Food excellent and well presented and rooms - all individual benefitted from good quality conventional equipment and good service. I have no hestistancy in recommending the hotel - it is set in a rural setting of great beauty. Would not suit those without own transport or those who would prefer to have lots of leisure and beauty experiences on site. " (108043835)

    Excellent personal service from managers who led a small but well trained staff team. Good attention to detail made the hotel experience stand out as more special than many chain hotels of a higher star rating.

    Friendly staff; good management/organisation; very good food especially good presentation; geographically well situated hotel for excellent walks, wildlife and scenery.
